I have been discussing this for 2 years or more now. Would like input on categorys, voting process, anything else you can think of.

Categorys, such as:

Puller
Racer
Dyno
Shop
Promoter
Sponsor
Event

I'd like to start out with people, things, that happened say, 10 years ago or more, then catch up to near present time.
Email me, or post, thanks!

I nominate Greg as the greatest diesel racer of all time.:hehe::hehe:

Ok I`ll quit it...:hehe:

1 vote for almighty shed putter as greatest sled puller!!! LMAO!

Ok.....I'll quit too LOL

Dude, Gale BANKS has to be nominated as the greatest of everything!:hehe:

Um, Im not sure. I'm over qualified for that title though.

I think there is one guy that should be in there for sure Keith Conway, he was one of the first in our area to start truck pulling diesels around here. Keith passed away a couple of years ago in a logging accident.

Some thoughts... not all are from 10yrs ago but....

Puller - Kent Crowder
Racer - Jeff Garmon
Dyno - Lloyd Mills or Tim Barber
Shop - Scheid, Hasiley or Enterprise
Promoter - Ron Knoch
Sponsor - don't know
Event - Scheid, TS or Indy nationals
best blown motors - Greg ( Dockboy )
diesel forums - CompD
Innovative design - John@Floorit, Hellmann, DonM
Most self acclaimed - Greg ( Comp461 )
Most dedication to the sport - Dave Dunbar

Fixed it....

My good ole buddy Jeremy Homeyer needs to be in there. Accomplished quite a few things many years ago on a vp44 that most still can't do now.

Got to have another category! One word describes it...Dockboyed...or is that a word?

What would be the qualifications?

Thats what we need to discuss.

There was HP being made in Kentucky and Pennsylvania,(wasn't me) before the names everyone knows today even thought about it.

Keith Conway will be in it, no argument there. Thats a given.

Well for ease of keeping track of it on a year to year basis... (That is assuming you wanted to make this a yearly award.)

You've already got 12 "Awards"...

Make each award be open for nomination for 15 days of the month its assigned, then the other 15 could be used for voting on those nominations.

So like this...

Jan - Puller - Kent Crowder
Feb- Racer - Jeff Garmon
Mar - Dyno - Lloyd Mills or Tim Barber
Apr - Shop - Scheid, Hasiley or Enterprise
May - Promoter - Ron Knoch
June - Sponsor - don't know
July - Event - Scheid, TS or Indy nationals
Aug - best blown motors - Greg ( Dockboy )
Sept - diesel forums - CompD
Oct - Innovative design - John@Floorit, Hellmann, DonM
Nov - Most self acclaimed - Greg ( Comp461 )
Dec - Most dedication to the sport - Dave Dunbar

That way they could come full circle each year on their respective month and it wouldn't get too out of hand in keeping track of whos been nominated for what.

Just an idea....

That's true but, are they even around anymore ? Since this is something you want to start now, maybe you might as well start with todays crowd ??

It's a hall of fame. Not legends of today.

what's the point if no one today knows any of them ? What's the point also if none are even in the sport anymore ?

besides.... most I named are from 10yrs ago
