These are pics of the Toyota race truck project in my sig.
Nothing too dramatic since last time but all the parts are here now and according to the builder I should be able to bring it to Houston in about 2 or 3 weeks. :woohoo: I'll have some GOOD pictures then.
This first set is some of the parts I go in. You'll see two sets of rear rims. The first ones I go (with the gold center) were the wrong bolt pattern. Worked out for the best though because I was able to find the Alumastars that match the front:

These next pics are of the truck itself. You'll notice that the cab has been cut in such a way that I can undo a panel and lift it completely off the truck pretty easily:

This is going to be the actual ride height of the truck:

Only thing I have left to do is order the passenger seat which I'll probably do cassis-wise later today.
The long block side of the motor is pretty well done also. All we have left to do on it is sleeve all of the cylinders. It has Crower billet rods, Cometic head gaskets, DI head studs, DI push rods, DI cam, Comp valve springs, Mahle pistons, everything is balanced, blueprinted, and coated (the coating on the heads feels like powder), and TONS of head work (just ask my wallet ).
Terminator Engineering is taking care of the hpop duties and Joe Hellman with Hellman Performance is doing all the fab work. DI's helping out a little bit too.
Once the chassis is in Houston I'm gonna take a bunch of pictures and start looking for sponsors for turbos (true twins) and injectors (b-codes). I figure it's better to ask when they can actually see what it's going on. Transmission will be another one I'm looking for. I'll probably try and get by with a stocker and a torque converter 'til hopefully someone can help out there. So if anyone knows where I can find a good used trans relatively cheap...
And I'm sure people are wondering, yes, it will be using nitrous. I've got a couple of companies in mind that I think will help out some with that. We're gonna use water injection also. And for those who don't know, I'm keeping the headlights, blinkers, tail lights, etc...; it's gonna be street legal (hence, the passenger seat). :woohoo:
