One thing led to another. Build thread.

Is that something they're rated for? Never heard of them being mounted upside down.

Surley that's not 200lbs on the seat???

I was told that they were "200 lb springs". Not sure if that is on the seat, or open. I called and left a message with hamilton several days ago, but haven't heard back. Same with haisley.

Yes. Optima batteries can be mounted in any position.

Is that a yellow top thing? I swear my red top states upright or on it is side only..

Yep. Figured out the hard way to add relief grooves to assist chiseling the two surfaces apart later with the Right Stuff.

Drill and tap one hole on the manifold between two mounting bolt holes , same thread as the bolts your using . When all bolts are removed thread one in the tapped hole and it'll break the seal.

Here are some pics I saved incase I did mine.

I need to get in touch with the dow brothers. Our race truck needs a set of everything they built for your front end. Could you send me a contact number? I looked for their info online and never got ahold of anyone. Impressive build you have going Sir.

Nice seats JP!!! Good to see the full containment shell seats rather than the simple aluminum seats we often see!!! I really like his mounts too! Where did you pick up the seats and for how much if you don't mind me asking?

Are they going to drop the cage through the floor to weld the top side then raise it back up and install the floor plates? The guys at RPM Offroad do a lot of their cages that way. I have also seen guys cut the roof off then weld it back on after welding the top of the cage, but I like dropping it through the floor much better...
