Quickest/Fastest: 63/68/.88 Single

I ran a7.96 at 88.5 with an he351, and 7.60's with positive inlet pressure, (let's just call it ram air :))

haha, you guys

gonna be sad when I'm ticking Big Blue's numbers, still running that 63/68 single!

In. Your. Dreams.

Oh and cliff I've done better 1/8ths at 8.0 and 88mph, but the 8.2 one was my most recent 12.5 run!

You all have me beat in the 1/8 mile, but I haven't tested out the new setup yet.

I like your enthusiasm, but I don't see that 63 ever doing 700hp on a 12 valve without nitrous. That's what it'll take to do the 1/8th like will does.

c'mon now, dont need 700whp when the truck's nearing 5000#:shake:

however I'm not serious about trying to bust a sub 7.5 1/8th at nearly 100mph with my current charger. I am, however, going to try to break into the 7's and shoot for 95mph

7.309 @ 97.05 with an He351 with positive inlet pressure...

This was with a 1.73 60' time with slicks and was a full-power pass till about 900' when a boot blew up. If you want to run quicker at the same MPH, you'll have to get a better 60' time because that run had almost zero perceivable wheel spin during the run. A 1.73 is not amazing nor something to brag about with slicks, but it's still fairly quick considering the nose heavy Cummins, ratty cheap suspension setup, and 29.50x11.50 slicks pushing a 5400# truck. Notice it coasted to an 11.87 pass at less MPH than the 1/8th mile trap speed.

right, a 1.7x would net me somewhere around an 8.0 (my run was 2.19 to 60' iirc).

With my current power levels I feel like a shorter tire and hitting OD would gain me some time/speed over trying to run the truck out the back in 3rd...gotta refernce my spreadsheet to verify

also, this thread is for fun, for those wondering what the deal is.

If you were able to correct the post launch spinning, I'll bet that 8.0 would come down to the 7.8 range and the MPH would come up a little as well.

Don't sell yourself short, 90 MPH in the 1/8th is a lot of power!!, heck my daily driver 7200 # beast runs 90 MPH in the 1/4 and it's faster than 3/4 the vehicles I encounter on the street.
