Salt Lake City Drag Race Aug 7

here are the 2 that i know of and have pulled with as have many guys on here. United puts on alot more shows than RMPA does. United is building a new sled thats supposed to be done in May sometime. there was another guy in Utah that had a sled they used for the DPC last year but i heard he sold it.

United isn't building a sled anymore, they bought the sled that was used at DPC(the sledgehammer) and as far as I know, working on it so it is a reliable sled for the upcomming season

they sold that new "hammer" sled and are completely rebuilding the old one, this is what i was told earlier this week

i was told they were building one, and it would be done in May. they didnt specify new or re building the old one. i assumed when they said building one it was a new one.

I would go more with what Josh said, all I know is that new sled was a pos... If they did sell it, good for them. They must have recently started working on the old sled, because I live near where it was parked and it was there not too long ago. The little sled is still sitting there as of last week. Sorry for the confusion.

Which one is more Diesel friendly?

Which one has a better NON-Diesel show or following?

i would say that United has more diesels but they do more pulls. RMPA only takes like 5-10 diesels for each class. i talked to RMPA a couple weeks ago about doing a test and tune in April at my house in the field and they liked the idea, the price is doable. i also talked to them about doing some diesel only events this summer and they said they would be interested in that as well.

I just spoke with united pullers and there scedual is not set in stone this early but it looks like the sled will be availible 8/8/09.

count me in for the strip and the sled :rockwoot: i can get a few other trucks as well . and you better watch out matt without the bottle we are getting dang close :nos::hehe:
