Arrrrrgghhh.....you are asking me to remember stuff from 4 years ago :bang :bang As best I recall, the gent who was detailing the buildup of his engine did not run an intercooler, so that kept temps up, but his main concern was with the strength of the pistons.

well with boost requirements so low how bout a blower i can get my hands on a cheep small roots blower

Go with a turbo, it'll be lots easier to mount up and make work IMHO.
