Truckers, lets see your rigs!

I had to pump off the load right there where I got stuck and ended up getting myself unstuck.

This week I did over 3600 miles and never left my 150 mile radius.
We’ve been busy...

I’m sure you have heard this your entire life but you need a longer hose. Keep the truck out of the mud.

finally got my but in gear and fixed/upgraded my steel Kauffman trailer... been needing new hangers and its tracked right couple inches since Kauffman did warranty work 8 month after I bought it... also aligned it.. and two new springs
2 100' laser levels

plumb line and I leveled the trailer left to right with an angle finder.. and found center between the two laser dots.. Kaufman builds the running gear on a sub frame then welds the sub frame to the I-beam.. found the welded the DS 5/8" too far forward.. thrust center line was roughly 5" to the PS at the plumb line.. I didnt bother to check alignment between the two axles

someone bent a spindle at some point... was used around the farm for a while.. ive only over loaded it twice in 7 years ive owned it and it got promptly unloaded...

bought new 82/64 axle that was complete.. and stripped it for the beam, faster and cheaper than waiting for a beam to get made and shipped..
3 different styles of 4,000lb leaf springs.. middle one matched the front... top have 3/4" OD nylon bushing that don't last. bottom one came with the axle.. has a steel sleeve and rubber bushing.. doesn't match the front springs..

it tracks straight and pulls a lot nicer now

Idda needed 1/4 mile of hose to keep it outta the mud. Had to unload at the irrigation pivot.

Looks like you’ve been having fun...

Fixing long over due projects.. one less thing to worry about.. haven't been able to locate new spindle... Can get new backing plate mounts though

Ditching company just had one run a wheel off. They just called axle surgeons.

Have any of you guys seen a cat atmospheric sensor fail and not throw a code? I'm driving a 5ek today and its reading 15psi constant but theres no codes. Hes been saying it's not pulling right and it feels real soft at 1650rpm and up to me. 455hp so it's no rocket anyway

Depending on flash file, it will calibrate via manifold pressure and go on.

Ok, so since it's not throwing a code its probably not using atmospheric to adjust fuel. Well, on to the next thing. I'm going to check fuel pressure but this thing has a total of zero test ports so i need to get down to the hydraulic shop and get a couple. Might change that sensor too just to be safe

I was going to ask you who has been running things down there. Never actually talked to the guy, usually his minions.

Cat question for the experts,

How were the 2009 c15's? I'm looking at one right now but don't have any experience with the dpf cats. All that crap would be deleted right away. Is the block, rotating assy and head the same as the bxs/mxs/nxs or did they make changes in 08?

Same, other than injectors and the turbos are ball bearing.

There was a PIP for valve guides on the SDP. I reworked about 30 of them in my territory. I don't know when the production change started, or if the guides were different than the other acerts, but they were junk and caused crank case pressure codes. I suspect the put the older PN in them to correct it.

It would be worth checking on the work history before buying.
I can do that if I have a serial number.

Crankcase pressure codes disappear with the fix he’s going to do.
