Dont waste your money on a tube and fin cooler, they are cheaper but do not work half as good as the bar and plate design.
This is the case for a high performance trans with high psi at least.

If you only want to run one cooler w/fan I'd also install one of these finned coolers.

Upgrading my trans cooler, has anyone tried the BD double stack, if so was it the 1/2" or 5/8?
I ordered the BD.
The derale is fine, i just wanted the best i could get for the race truck. I'll put the derale on my 08', its just a dd truck.
Thanks for the tip, i got it without the install kit. My current setup already uses a manual fan and ha stainless braided lines so everything will just swap over.
