2.8/bastard Puller Build thread

Figure these are part of the build too. Ill post the finished product, soon hopefully.

They were at the shop for a bit, didnt have any parts to take pics with. :bang

I managed to get the water injection functioning, relocate the ECM, drop the fuel tank, and get all the gauges working, and install the FASS.


By the way,

FASS is and absolute mother ****** to find a place for that dont involve making a new braket. Why didnt they make that thing ampidexterious? I wound up beating the hell out of the back of the cab and bolting it to the rear cab mount on the frame.

Im stuck waiting on parts at this time.*bdh*

The ingredients to making a mount for my tach recal switch. The flat plastic on the left is the fog lamp hole from a Colorado:hehe: I put a pic of it when its done.

My ether sprayer was not made for the standard spray cans so I lengthend it. Then I cut it back down because I measured to the wrong side on the hole:bang

And I was to lazy to mix any more paint so I grabed some satin black.:hehe:

Sorry if i missed it:what: but how are you gonna run water in a 2.8 class? NADM rules I assume?

They did work well on Ron's truck josh but I think next year his driveline will be scraming for mercy! Ben i think ran them twice before he took out his G 56 but we all know those trannies aren't up the abuse he's putting down anyways.

Why do you say that? I'm just going to run a little 2.6 charger this year.:bigsmile:

We dont have any sanctioning bodies here really. Im going by the NADM rulebook until either they come here or somebody starts a new oragization here.

I decided to half ass port the manifold after work today. Mostly smoothed the casting marks out. Also put a nice smooth edge where the cylinders turn to the turbo flange. The pile of shavings is just what was on the bench, not counting me or the floor. Its a T4 flange also.

I thought you would run with Middle Tenn Pullers Association. I know they have a 2.8 class. Joe Underwood and Barry (Nail It) run with them.
