24v Spoolup

4.10 gears...i had a sps 62/71/14...i now have a ps 62/65/14. big difference in daily driving and towing. the sps is not as quick spool up that some say it to be. it took alot more pedal(fuel) to get it going and it was not great for towing. when towing, my egts cruising were 150-200 degrees hotter with the sps. the ps takes less pedal to get going which made it easier and funner to tow with. the only thing i liked about the sps was a WOT run or climbing a steep hill while towing. and that only happens about 1% of my driving.

That was my experience as well with the sps62/71/14. It would get pretty toasty unless you kept the rpms up some. I would say that a 62/65/14 would be a much better choice for the frequent tower.

I think a set of parallel HE351 twins on a 24V would be awesome!

The tight turbine housings would have great spool with plenty of overhead between them for high RPM HP, and the compressors flow LOTS of air... throw in a Helix and some water, and it'd be even snappier with lower EGTs.

Don't worry about expansion boost - that's what the CAC is for, and ditto for the drive pressures (which are indeed sky-high)... the newer Holsets are like C-4, not nitroglycerin.
