24v swap into 99 f350

Check to make sure you have proper fuel pressure going to the injection pump, atleast 14 psi. Make sure the lift pump is not running while you are trying to crank the truck. The lift pump should run when the Key is first turned then stop when the wait to start light goes out, once truck starts the lift pump should turn back on. If the VP is recieving constant fuel pressure when it's trying to start it won't, or will start hard.

Crack the fuel lines and bleed them. Should be a high pressure spray/mist coming out around the fuel line nut while cranking, not just wet. Sometimes when I have a really stubborn engine I will take off the boot at the intake horn and mist wd40 in and crank it. That always works for me.

I can hear the FASS pump kick off while I am trying to crank it over, Ill try the wd40 and see if i cant get a positive reaction.

Update- got the wiring issue figured out but still can't get it to fire off, I can tell that fuel is now making it to the cylinders because the sound of the engine changes.

had her running for a good 30 seconds and she started leaking fuel from the back of the cylinder head, so i have to get two new washer since the rubber on the inside of them is completely gone. But other than that everything else looked and sounded good. Thanks for the help from them member in my thread. now i have to save up for that new turbo.

Need some wiring help. Finally got all the little annoying stuff buttoned up (hopefully) but now I can't get the alternator to charge. It's a brand new alternator and brand new batteries (had tested to make sure I didn't get bum ones). I went with the Ford alternator and "one wire" conversion but I think I may have missed something. Is there suppose to be a wire running from the alternator stud to something?

Do you have a 12v power source coming from the battery to the alternator yet? I'm guessing that is what is missing on your stud you are referring to.

4000 mile update- trucks been running great and I couldn't be more happier with my decision to do the swap. I've had to do some minor tweaks here and there but all in all the truck runs and drives great. Definitely want to get a larger turbo as I spool this one out pretty quick with it being the small auto turbo, and throw some timing into it.

Which brings me to the part where I need some help. I picked up a Smarty for the truck and went to put one of the Catcher tunes in it and it gives me a "wrong VIN number" error message. I reached out to Bob Wagner and he told me that I need to have the VIN programmed into the ECM but haven't been able to get ahold of him as to how to go about getting this done. Can someone point me in the right direction? Also will I need the VIN off the truck that the engine came out of?
