is the super b killing my top end or am i still missing something. i have NO boost leaks..i have checked it over and over. good fuel press. drag comp tap definitely works. egt's never got over 1000. boost never got over 35...

that run was with the smarty on sw 6 and the comp on 5x5. btw..the comp smarty stack was w/in 1 hp of each other compared to running it w/out the smarty.

what else is there to look into..timing issues?? injector pump timing?

something is keeping this truk from its potential and im havin alotta grief tryin to find it....a 16.0 at 82 mph wasnt a very happy day either....all in all the truk and its perf upgrades have been a huge disappointment and alotta wasted time and money......

so...where do i got from here...
 
Clean Ur Map Sensor, Check To See What Psi Ur Wastegate Is Opening U Should Be At Least In The Mid40s Or Higher With That Combo Check Ecm And Check To Make Sure U Got The Right Pump Wire Taped Common Problem
 
Something is definately wrong... mine with just the drag comp on 5x5 did 333/770 last year on the stock HY.....
 
am i reading your sig right, you have 130hp injectors? Does it smoke alot like it should under low boost? Dont give up youll figure it out and see all that power soon cause i agree you should be mid 400's with those injectors and that turbo. Fuel pressure good? how many pounds of boost? oh and sell the smarty your only the hundreth person that has told me they gained 1 or 2 horsepower stacking the smarty with the comp.
 
How old is the injection pump? Adjust your APPS, clean your MAP and IAT sensors, double/triple/quadruple check your wire tap and make sure it's the right wire. What kind of fuel pressure is your lift pump seeing at WOT? What kind of boost are you seeing? 1000* egt's seems low to me for that setup.

I did 375hp with a drag comp, ksb-1, and rv275 injectors and my egt's were at 1250*. So there's definitely something wrong here and I'm betting it's your pump.
 
I think your wire tap and or ground is the problem. If you're within 1-2 hp with the smarty, your comp is running in EZ mode. Low egt's always means you're not getting full fueling.
 
the comp makes a big diff drivin it turning it off and on....smokes like crazy at low boost...ill post a link to the pull.
the pumps got about a 100 grand on it...always had good fuel press fed to it tho..

the smarty stacked w/the comp was within 1-2 hp..not seperately.
truks got 4.10 gears

no lockup..but it did stay locked in while he was pulling it
 
Your turbo is doing its job. It isnt smoking any and spools fast. You should have a lot more smoke than that with those injectors and a comp.

Id definately check out all your connections, and maybe the injection pump itself. Are you sure it has injectors in it(you put them in, right?)
 
yeah i id the install..theyre in there..as much as i hate to say it..i think the vp is takin a dump...

wish there was a way to tell w/o takin it off the truk..pita if that aint the problem...can you say hrvp for me????
 
If U Tapped The Wire Below The Right One U Tapped The Advace Piston In The Pump And U Will See Low Power I Have Seen It Alot
 
alright..exactly then does anyone have a pic..ill check it tio make sure but im positive ive got the right wire tapped....it goes from not much smoke to a ton of smoke when im drivin w/low boost . rollin in w/the comp on i cant even see my tailgate
 
i did just realize something. w/the comp on 5x5 it gave the truk exactly 40 hp. adding the smarty gave it 1 more..i know the samrty isnt for power as much as driveability but i got it mostly for the torque managemnet...
is there any definitive way to be absolutely sure ive got a good tap
 
Your comp is NOT doing the fueling it should!!!!! with 130HP injectors and a comp on 5x5 you should have enough fuel for 450HP.... i did 417HP 926TQ with 150Hp nozzles on stock injectors and tapped comp and stock turbo.

the wire that should be tapped is closest to the block as in this picture.

My truck smoked more than that with just a box, and made more power too. Try another comp box if you do have the right wire tapped.
 
I made 305hp with just a comp on 5x5 on Dunbars dyno. Your comp is not working. You either dont have the right wire tapped or the box is crap and only running in EZ mode.
