3 turbos, billit block crap rant!

theres 2 things i really hate about the MOD class

1 i can't afford one
2 no one will let me drive one

if it wasn't for the mod trucks we wouldn't have any of the parts there are today and there sure wouldn't be sled pulling. The trucks we call street class now would of been considered modified 10 or 12 years ago just look at Dave Mitchell old white truck.

i remember when they could run anything as long as it bolted to a stock manifold......

Good post. It's funny, I doubt any of the people *****ing about mod class would turn down a chance to drive/own any of the trucks in it. It's pretty easy to complain about something they haven't put tons of hardwork and money in to. $.02

Love the Mod class and really respect all the guys in it. It takes an incredible amount of time and love for the sport. We all know your not going to travel the country and make a living doing it. I say if you have the skill time and money then more power to you. I love watching! Would be great to drive but i need to find that money tree first. So thanks to all of you.

Thanks Cory for your guy's hard work and dedication. I got all the respect in the world for you Mod guys and for the class, I know, I have one hell of a time trying to keep up my SS puller, can't imagine the work, $$ and time into a Mod puller......one of these days I'll be right there with you guys!:rockwoot:

IMO The mod class to me is the most important. With little limits on power etc... they can take this sport to the moon.

Personally I rather watch mod trucks because its something I will never be able to afford....Im a dreamer :hehe:

Watching 2.6,2.8 & 3.0 does not intrest me that's something I could build if I wanted to (no affense to those who run those classes) I really truly don't mean that to offend anyone.

I help with my buddies super stock alcohol 1066 international on the east coast and they are just as reliable but their getting much better and the mods will be the same way, but hey its only all your money and time right.:hehe:

I say keep up the good work and FnCK anybody who doesen't like them. You guys are why I wanted to do what I did. Everybody in the mod class proves that there is no limitations if you want to do it, it can be done. I know it takes a lot of time and money to do this and for the money you guys get paid back it's not worth it. You gotta love it!

Oh and P.S.

The mod guys are more down to earth and friendlier than most of the 2.6, 2.8 and 3.0 people. Just my$.02

I will agree with that 110%. I rarely ever hear of the mod class guys bickering about how something went or was handled or anything like that. And these guys have 10's of thousands wrapped up in just showing at a pull, they would have a reason to gripe if something didn't go right with an organization/event/location/weather.

at our pulls where i am we only have a few mod trucks. its always nice to get to go to a pull that has mod trucks. ive seen BBD and Moonlight Diesel. i would like to see haisleys, scheid, and your truck cory cause we dont get to see them in the west.

Why? You want to see trucks that actually run hard and cool guys driving them? LOL :poke: (Sorry had to)

Allright i have been busy and havent had time to respond to all the things i have been hearing this yr about the mod class, so hear it goes! First off for you guys bashing our class and saying not even worth watching anymore is hard to swallow as we our trying to put diesel trucks in the spot light with all the other classes and our own community is not backing us or showing there full support! 2nd to say billit blocks are not the thing to go with without having the knowledge to know what is happening with blocks is pretty ridiculous, the billit blocks my 2 ericks and straleys have NEVER failed! its the parts thats in them, and as far as this yr im still on my first set of bearing rods pistons and everything, i know that could change tommorow but to only have minor problems, ( valve train) the entire yr is pretty remarkable in its self! i understand you want to see more trucks in our class just like everyone else but this is the yr everyone is stepping up in hp and when you do that you find problems! we went thru alot of growing pains last yr but this yr it has been great! Lets see here this is guestamation but me erick and straley still have our blocks and running them, kellogg on #4 haisley on #2 scheid #2 i think miller on # 2 or 3 not sure im not trying to bash them at all! but what im saying is no matter what happends we can still reuse our blocks thats something you cant say for a cast! and as for cost add what it cost in cast blocks in a lifetime up to run and compare that to a one time cost of a billit block..... now for breakage! just like every class you have it, its gonna happend more so in our class, everyone in our class is running good and doing things that has never been done! so just because they split a block dont give you the right to bash them or say the class isnt good. cause when we were pushing the limit last yr and people were using proven parts and making hook after hook you just thought we couldnt get a engine to live, well after one yr of r&d we've achieved consistency, while everyone is back to trying new things and pushing the limits this yr, that means they should be consistent next yr as it takes about an entire yr to figure out a setup. now lets talk 3 turbos! Its easy to say the class is getting out of control or they'll never get it to work is crazy! Erick and Ben did not get dyno time to dial it in, everyone is a learning expreince and when you producing that much hp in the dark everyone is a learning experience! how soon do we forget that scheids took an entire yr off and dyno there new 3 turbo setup..... guess what erick and ben didnt have that chance. the whole reason of going with 3 is more air less boost to be able to make run after run and not tear up an engine, but untill you get it figured out you will be making crazy boost which is hard on parts as we all know, like 200lbs of boost! but when they get it dialed in it will be much much less then that. this is not ment to be rude or mean to anyone, its just hard to sit back and read this stuff when we ALL Stacey, Kellogg, haisley me, straley scheids travel all over the country side for pretty much nothing to support and get diesel trucks out there in the sport light, and to check back here and read what i was reading about our class. Im not asking you to put up the money to run in our class ( but that would be great ) but to just support us or the class will die out when our own dont support us! And as for limitations if we wanted limits we would have all built a truck for that limited class, the great thing about this class is if you can think of it you can do it! every yr someone else is coming out with a setup that is unthinkable, something you guys say that it will never work, well guess what it does and will, not so long ago there was people that thought 2 turbos on a diesel truck was unthinkable and unliveable well folks i think were past that point and soon we will be past the naysaying of billit blocks and 3 turbos, cause four turbos would just be the CATS @$$!! $.02

Corey, you are obviously talking about my post. By no means was i bashing anybody or was it intended to be a bashing comment. I was posting my opinion and concerns, if it offended you i apologize, but i am entitled to my opinion just like everybody else on this forum. If you didnt like my post that is your opinion. I do respect what you mod guys do and the time it takes to keep up with the trucks. Once again the post was not entended to bash anybody. As for why it was in 2 threads once i posted in the 1 thread it wouldnt let me delete it out of the other, so that why it was in 2 places, Jeremy

Look If you guys have any questions or complaints about the mods please ask or state the problem, I know there's some doubters out there, please speak up, I appreciate all of ur guys support for our class but all it takes is a couple of people to ruin it for us, promoters please state ur opinion. A lot of people on hear do not follow this class and don't know what's going on with it. Sorry if the first post was hard to read due to not enough spaces and punctuations but I'm not an english major I'm just a farmer and a puller...

Jeremy my post was not ment to come at you, some people agreed with you, its just that we have been under a lot of heat this year cause of our numbers and we all our trying are butts off to please everyone! And like I said before a lot of people on here don't follow us thru ppl and ntpa circuit. Were all like family in the class if someone needs a part someone else has they give it to them to keep runnin. It just gets frustrating jeremy, nothing against you I just wanted to clear the air.

corey i need one part to get my new truck done. could you take your body off your frame and let me have it . i can get my body on there and be up and runnin in no time. you said you guys share parts.........lol
