3 turbos, billit block crap rant!

Look If you guys have any questions or complaints about the mods please ask or state the problem, I know there's some doubters out there, please speak up, I appreciate all of ur guys support for our class but all it takes is a couple of people to ruin it for us, promoters please state ur opinion. A lot of people on hear do not follow this class and don't know what's going on with it. Sorry if the first post was hard to read due to not enough spaces and punctuations but I'm not an english major I'm just a farmer and a puller...

I don't care what anyone thinks, that's awesome. Just keep doin what you're doin, we're all cheering for you guys.

Thanks Cory for your guy's hard work and dedication. I got all the respect in the world for you Mod guys and for the class, I know, I have one hell of a time trying to keep up my SS puller, can't imagine the work, $$ and time into a Mod puller......one of these days I'll be right there with you guys!:rockwoot:

i remember your truck when it had boggers and you wheeled it......i got some pictures on my photobucket of it for some reason......

Personally I think its great what the Mods are doing out there....yeah I think there is a general assumption that you have to either be a Diesel Preformance shop owner or someone earning a 6 figure salary but I don't think it has to be that way. Everyone also sees the carnage that can happen (take out a diff and it can go right up thru the whole drive train and kill the motor) and I really think it scares alot of people from even wanting to think about getting into the class. I have talked to a few of the Mod guys and even guys in the big tractor classes and the only way most can afford to do what there doing is by doing it them selves!!!!

Prices are ALOT higher in our diesels than what you will find in the gassers...anyone seen how cheap you can build a BBC for now or have seen how much cheaper it is to fill that 12" gap between your engine and your reverser or trany in a gasser mod truck. I really do believe that if someone can figure out on there own how to do build and setup there own MOD truck and do almost everying 100% on there own and I mean from making there own tube frame to putting the motor together you will be probably at 50% of the cost that everyone thinks they are worth and the other good thing about knowing how to put everything together is you will know how to put it all back together when it grenades instead of waiting on a shop to do it for you!

Keep up the good work guys! the inovations that I have seen that you guys have come up with is just amazing and I salute you for doing the greatest thing that ever happened to diesel motor sports:clap::clap::clap:

It is a tough class with no good solution really. Personally I feel the "Open" class did the most for the sport back in about 2003 in the pre cut tires days. Back then they were running about 1200hp and EVERYBODY pretty much stayed together. I think Van, Curt, Kent, Martin, Stacey, Stingley, and even Mitchell all hooked like 40+ times that summer and mostly everybody just chaged oil between hooks and kept hammering. The trucks ran really good and put on a great show and because they were so dependable were able to make lots of events so many people got to see them. I think that was great for the sport, but everybody always wants to push the limits to get that win, so the dependability didn't last, and now the number of trucks and the number of hooks they make is far less. Yes the trucks are more impressive now since there are 2.8 trucks today making nearly what the mods did back then, but I don't think it is as good a advertising as it once was. It is kind of like what is better one ad during the Super Bowl or 100 ads all year long? I still support the mod class and love to watch it, its just to bad there can't be more of them!

Yup, those days are long gone for the red truck. I still got the wheeling bug but the pulling bug was a much more venomous bite!:hehe:

My frame is about half, body is ordered and the engine is close to being ready. i build almost everything myself, well with help from some others that want to see this thing done. yes i run a shop and work a full time job. the money is still a hold up. between the man hours money and head scratching that goes into a mod truck its no wonder im goin bald. but it is doable. i do really appreciate and want to thank corey, erik and the others for sticking with it. it takes more than most realize to keep one of these running. dont forget that most of us make big changes from year to year trying to push harder to make new setups that turn into the tried and true setups that the other classes go to a year or two later.

I was really hoping to see you mod guy's at Bowling Green Ohio for the national tractor and truck pulls but I do not see you guy's on the Schedule Aug. 21-23 seen you pull there last year for expedition pull AGtremely. Keep up the hard work lots of us dream to pull like you guy's.

I would sit in the rain for hours on end, and into the wee, wee, weeeeee hours of the morning to watch the mod class run. I like power. They're putting more of it to the ground than anyone else running pickups.

Also, thanks for lending me some air for my golf cart tire at TS. Guess that's some of that open family atmosphere I hope you guys never lose.

I agree 100% with KTA.

I totally respect and admire the mod guys. I can imagine how much work it takes just to keep the trucks alive.

Stated another way, the class is moving up on a technical basis, but on the audience side, it's going backwards.

I don't believe anyone is doing anything "wrong" and there is no blame to be placed. But you can't ignore the show aspect.

If at a Nascar race, two-thirds of the cars blew up every race, people would get tired of it real fast and start walking away. What draws people in is close racing where anyone can make a shot for the win on any given night.

The best I can suggest is that the guys in the class get together and see if there is anything that could be done to improve. I'm concerned that if you don't manage it to some extent, then you may have some of this nagging negativity going on for a while, and that doesn't help any of us.

Dunno. Tough situation, which I had some silver bullet solution for ya.
