Well my starter took a crap yesterday and i dont know if the new one will be here in time..... we will see

Bummer, I'm sure with all the guys we can scare up a starter? OK who has a starter....

Starter SHOULD get here next thursday.... valvespring tool on monday hopefully! cutting it a little close! aw who cares my truck is just a slow 5spd haha

Yup, I am heading down I-5 (probably going to cut over near Bakersfield). If anyone is on the road and wondering if I am close, try calling my cell phone 503-407-1388. Does anyone on here use CBs anymore? I just use a portable unit in my truck (so the range is crappy). Somewhere I have a magnet mount antenna and adapter for it, I'll have to see if I can find it. Back in the old days when I towed up and down the West coast for races, we always convoyed and chatted on our CBs to stay awake. Tired racers say the funniest stuff on the CB ;)

We live near Anaheim (let us know if you go to Disneyland, weare doing the annual pass thing) and will be headed out Friday morning- I'd definatley cross over at Bakerstucky and miss LA if possible.

If you don't cross over 58 you don't want to hit the vine and be stuck in traffic from about 3 on. It really sucks.

Have not really figured out when or whats going on yet. I should do that it's getting close
 
Oh yeah. New schedual is posted at work and I don't have to work Friday or sat. So I can make the race.
 
Ok it's not really work it's more like stand around for 6 hours aday lol so you going to make it to the race still ?
 
thursday at some point I think. They have the trans out right now felt it was a good idea to get away from a stock tranny with converter and input and output shafts.

Sound like a good idea... hopefully I make it through the event with these even bigger injectors, lol... Joe said he has room on his trailer though if I dont...
But I am trying to be a bit more POSITIVE! lol, considering my tranny shifts great now and has actually never had any problems what so ever..

I think im leavin around 4ish... wanted to leave at 2, but that puts us in SF/Sac right around rush hour... So probably leavin around 4 then gettin a hotel where ever I get tired

Right on. Well be safe drivin down here man. Once you get on the east side of palm springs there is nothing out there all the way Phoenix.
 
finally booked my hotel. staying at the motel 6 in sun city. ill be heading out friday night late. i hope to meet a bunch of guys from all over the country, maybe do some drinking saturday night.
