3rd Annual Texas Diesel Nationals

I just wanted to give some credit where it is due. "the Dmax" that raced Super Street and Pro Street (and as far as I know was the fastest truck all day) is owned by Jim Jones from Texas Performance Diesel out of Emory, TX. The truck is a full weight truck (the only thing missing is the back seat because of the roll bar) running on BFGoodrich street tires (actual street tires, not drag radials) and is owned and driven by a true diesel enthusiast and a genuine good guy.

yep, jim is a super nice guy! awesome truck too! cant wait til i get the bugs worked out and give hime a good run for the money. i imagine the unlimited street class at denton in october will be identical to ps at ennis

The one thing I do know is the best race of the day was when you beat the Dmax that was #1 qualifier and had every body thinking he had it in the bag. What was it .4 you made up on the tree for the win?

That was a great race...Jim's "Texas Peformance Diesel Inc" Dmax is Awesome and so is the Lil Red Express.

Jim did qualify #1 with a 10.49 at 132 mph on street tires in Super Street and I think a 10.8 at 131 in Pro Street but no race is "in the bag".

Its an amazing "street truck" and everytime I see it, it steps up.

Congrats to Jim and the Lil Red Express for an exciting race!!

Did the output shaft explode and then take out the yoke pictured, or did the yoke break on it's own.... probably split open from a u-joint failure?

And 1.5, holy crap you've got that truck hooking up great! Congrats!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Great guy and one mean ass truck. I thought I was out after hearing that 10:40 run he ran. Was hoping to line up with Scott 1st and have a good race then Jim would take out the winner.

Hey guys I finally found my login again. Saturday was an awesome day. Racing was fun and we all had a great time. And yes Max's truck woke me up in the night in a cold sweat. It was one of the best races I've ever had but it was strangely like a previous race I also lost to Max. I have got to start going to some of these tracks and practicing on that pro tree. Maybe when Max gets his back together he will be kind enough to invite me to show up at some of the tracks he runs at and we can beat up on the gasser guys together. Congrats to Scott on a great truck that should be in the 10's easy. Eric and Wade were also fun to race with. And the new truck Jeremiah brought was absolutely scary. Did anyone else notice that even after lugging off the line and not spooling when that thing took off his mph was over 130! Anyway my truck was done after the Super Street final. Melted the driver side up pipe. Oh well, they were stock so looks like it's Profab time. Thanks again for all the work Randy and the NHRDA guys did and the track crews were awesome.

Thanks NHRDA for putting on a great race, these are getting better every year.
Congrats to Scott for the win that truck ran well. It was fun hanging out with you guys, I wished my truck would have performed better and givin' yall a better race. We now know what was going on; I had the convertor loosened up a bunch to help spool the new set of lungs and they just flat went to far; we didnt know how loose it needed to be to spool this set of 66/71/13ss over S480/1.32 chargers and the convertor shop missed it bad this go around. Testing before the race would have found this but there was no time, it was a mad rush to even make it there. Low 12's was super disapointing for sure we were honestly expecting low to mid 10's and still fill like we have more than enough power to do so once I get it through the convertor and to the ground.

What are you asking for her. i seen the for sale sign on the back glass tried to walk up and ask but you were you had other people you were talking to about what you had done to it and i wasn't gonna just stand around like a dumb a$$ so we walked off. the wife was talking about buying a race truck so we can stop dumping money in to my row boat 04

Get er done Bruce! Gonna be a bunch of low ten second trucks in Denton !!!

when is Denton and who is putting it on. is it a 1/4 or 1/8 mile. the one we did the North Texas Dyno at a track in Denton if i remember right was only an 1/8

i think this year is going to suck more than last year if they keep it at North Star cause it is only an 1/8 mile and not much parking there, they only have a total parking area about as big and half the Pit area in Ennis and thats for spectator and pit parking

Feel free to give me a call and we can dicuss it [214-532-1745], I want to keep it bad but really just cant afford to right now. I wished you would have came up and talked to me about it, I will sell it for a very fair price; It cost a bunch of money to build a project like this from scratch exp. when you dont sqimp on quality parts

If I still have her I'll be looking forward to racing yall at Denton thats for sure. 1/8th mile will be great
