3rd Annual Texas Diesel Nationals

Who cares about eliminations. It's all about the finals. Lol

I ran all out every pass and we wrenched on it like crazy between rounds fightin those dang boots that kept poplin off. I may have been lucky but I can't help it if people break.

Hey I'll take a win any way I can get it. Without cheating that is.

Great event! Everything went very smooth, and it was awesome listening to the announcer narrate on the radio station as ur going down the track. I finally dipped into the 12's!!!!

HAHAHA had to mess with you some on that one man.......... You won fair and square congrats again............

I just did not realize that until the way home today. Was too consumed at the race trying to make a under powered truck competitive to see what was actually happened with the ladder. I just raced who they told me to.

HAHAHA, Low 1:5 60ft will do crap like this. That is OK chrome moly goes in next. Not sure what is going on in the OD housing yet. Mike at HRD will look I am sure.

Ouch now that is a break! I guess we will see later what let go in mine later after it gets tore down.

In Pro-Street with Jim, Scott, Bruce and me left, I'm still trying to figure out how I lined up against all of y'all in eliminations?

Scott did you end up racing Jake or not racing anybody until racing me in the final?
Sorry Max I guess my break in 1st round quals was factor.

Yeah yeah yeah you needed it... LOL In all honesty though congrats again on the win man. I atleast made points so maybe I can make the worlds and make that race happen this time.

Jake, no way don't go there! Just messing with Scott since my truck chit on itself at the end. For some reason I thought you made it further than 1st qualifications. Great to finally meet you man!

The one thing I do know is the best race of the day was when you beat the Dmax that was #1 qualifier and had every body thinking he had it in the bag. What was it .4 you made up on the tree for the win?

If you are planning on making World Finals, Im sure in the end you will get an invite!! Even if you dont make top 16, make sure its known to Randy or myself that you plan to attend. By the time people that cant make it say no, we go down the list and look for the top 16 that can make it. U should be just fine and thanks for the support on the finals!!! Its gonna be a great show this year!!!:tree:

Re read that and it didnt read like i meant. But what i was trying to get acrossed is that if you make two events in your region you are probably good, and if you make all three you will be all but guaranteed. Even if the one race is all that you can make, then let us know towards the end of the season so that we know when we go down the list if/when people cancel, that you are wanting to go.

You guys have it easy in pro street, pro stock, and of course top diesel! In some classes (brackets, SS, and possibly 11.90) you could make all three races and need someone to cancel to make it if you didnt finish high enough since we have so many racers in those classes!

Max I told you if you got him at the tree you would get the win! That was my favorite race of the day by far

That race was won by 25,000ths of a second. I would love to know what that converts to in inches. Forget feet, it was that close.

Did the output shaft explode and then take out the yoke pictured, or did the yoke break on it's own.... probably split open from a u-joint failure?

And 1.5, holy crap you've got that truck hooking up great! Congrats!

Thanks Marc it is my plan to be there. I think I am safe anyways if my count is right I think I will make top 16. Just wish the wife could have won SM class instead of the Gambler but was fun cheering her on. Thanks for the great event and supporting the sport to all NHRDA.

Your opponent was traveling at approximately 131.54 MPH or 2315.1 inches per second.

Margin of victory calculates to 5.788 inches. Pretty close!

hey marc, any idea when points and results and pictures will be put on the website?

Not sure yet, I believe the output shaft breaking caused the yoke to explode. It has been abused and we have pulled out 3 with cracks in them. The funny thing is I have had a billet one in my shop now since say December. Just did not have the money to buy what it takes to put it in after build.

I was cutting high 1:4's on my old setup. Still not dialed in on the new setup.

I had a race last year in Douglas, Wyoming where the mov was .0008. I calculated I won by 1.274 inches. Best race I ever had, win or lose.

Anytime buddy!!! It was a fun event. This was my first one here, and other than INDY and Topeka...my first race east of region 1 and 2. It was a blast to meet all of the racers i had never seen and i hope to see all of you again in Texas next year as well as World Finals!!!

Pictures are usually up approx 10 days after Randy gets home......and as far as points and results, Randy gets gets home late tuesday and should have everything compiled by the end of the week. After that, it usually takes about a week or so give or take for the webmaster to get everything dont.

So ballpark....Give or take Two weeks from the event date. Sorry i dont have an exact date for you but with the traveling involved that is tough to do.
