Yeah bud! I should have said the truth about you...."I saw him put down 550hp spinning the tires on the roller even after we put a skidsteer in the bed of his truck.":hehe::hehe:

i dont use no more shims than the other , cept for the front i use the spacer u can get from summit for like 20$ drag racers and pullers have been usen those for 40 years , in the back the guy moved both bearings to one side , I learnd that from schieds , and i have several hooks on it (knock) LOL

How do they move the bearings to one side? I am assuming by using shims? Nothing wrong with it. Now the spacer does take away some strength, but it is on the front, and nothing wrong with it. Lots of folks use it and get by just fine.

i didnt see them do it but I meant the big factory shim not bearing sorry

The case saver? I know when I put a carrier in mine, it was way too tight unless I pulled the case saver.

I'm considering going with a set of 4.88's and would like to use an air/elec locker up front. With an ARB I would need to go to a different locker to fit the 4.88's. Can you use a ring gear spacer and then use the ARB meant for a 4.10 gear set. The reason I ask is that if I want to switch back to the 4.10's from the 4.88's I could hopefully use the same ARB locker. I need to be able to DD the truck or otherwise I use a full locker.
