427 ci so cal diesel stroker kit

Iam with Glen How could just having a larger cylinder make more power? witout more fuel or more air ive always thought the only reason to bore is to fit more fuel and air or if you have some messed up cylinder walls? :what:

Bigger bore will allow for more cylinder head flow due to less valve shrouding and a bigger valve perhaps...

X2 one of hte biggest thing you can see this on is BB heads mainly chevy stock is 4.25 aftermarket blocks cna go to 4.5" bores head flow will increase 5-10% or more penind how big the vlvs you are running. wiht .5" bore increase.. plus being able to run bigger vlvs

A BBC on a stock 4.84 bore spacing block will go to 4.625, and more on a 4.900 , or 5 inch bore spacing block .
the bore allows more valve area, and less shrouding , Air flow ability , is the most important consideration in any well engineered engine program, fuel is the easy part , especially on the CR platform .

Also a Billet aluminum blocks has been available for a while , at around $10,000 the advantage is weight the bigger bore , up to 4.400 , and the block Chevy crank and gear train.

hmm BBC crank? did i read that right?

i know the stock dmax is not a siamez(sp) block.. nor are 4.25" bore BBC iirc 4.470 and bigger are siamiezed blocks..

siames block in a diesel racing app i can see... but DD and that side of things is pointless ... to great a risk for major heat spots

Isn't siamesing cylinders in a diesel with retarded high cylinder pressures just asking for constant head gasket / sealing issues?

x2 iirc arent the BT cummins blocks are siamesen cylinders

and also can lead to more sidewall fles form neighboring cylinders fireing as well.
