6.4 with 2yr production run.....?

How the hell does that work on the cold side?

The hot side is, well, logical.

The injection lines are a freaking mess.

The cold side doesnt make sense to me either, havent studdied it too hard. Im sure its just like anything else to work on thats new, not shade tree friendly so be it.

I think the pictures that you see you are missing some important piping...

Single-sequential turbocharger.

An air-to-water intercooler will be cool too!

that's what I 'guesses what the top "tube" may have been fore... so, nothing "compounds"? in this turbo? just different wheel sizes and pitches to move air more or less best and certain shaft speeds?

Nope, no compound turbos. The lower inlet feeds air to the first compressor wheel, the top inlet to the second. There are also twin turbine inlets.

yeah, noticed that... it's just parallel compressors... easier packaging than a pair of turbos... just one turbine wheel though

I don't see the second outlet tho. are they both meshing into the one we do see in my previous pics?

finding data about this turbo setup is rather difficult on the net too.

It is bad ass tho, that's for sure.

As much marketing as Ford is doing now, I'd hate to see it flop. The numbers look good hp/tq but as always on a prototype they are high. After all the emissions BS put on the numbers seem to drop significantly. I'm up for new things. A thing I love to hear is when someone post up how fast the 6.4's are with all the deletes and a hot program. Compound turbos are hard to beat period so you take a stocker/S400 on a dodge or duramax and they to are some competition. You gotta compare apples to apples.

^^Take a stock 6.4 then add a tune, take a stock 6.7 cummins then add a tune, take a stock 6.6 duramaxx and then add a tune...that would be apples to apples IMO:poke:

No way is that apples to apples....2 turbos vs 1 turbo. Not close now take one of the turbos off the 6.4 or add another to the other 2 trucks. That's apples to apples. It's like comparing a V6 to a V8. Now yes it would be somewhat equal if all the emissions were left on the trucks and "just" a programmer was added but if all that was taken off then a compound turbo equal to size should be added. Nothin big and not an additional fuel system just another turbo. Now the tranny on the 6.4 is pretty strong from what I gather.

^^^^If your going to do things that way you you would have to beef up the cummins tranny to be comparable to the fords...simply put stock to stock adding just a tune is apples to apples...stock charger setup on the 6.4 and on a cummins....stock charger set up on the ford is just better with the tuning...is what it is

Lol take three trucks right green of the dealers lot and you have your apples to apples. Ford sucks in my eyes yet you'd have to be a blind retard to not admit that new engine looks good on paper so far, and a trans to hang on to boot.

^^Thats what I was trying say:bang

I hate when people say its unfair that the ford has twin turbo's, if you saw just how somall these turbos are, you would understand that its not much of an advantage

The small charger is not addng power, just spool. The power you can make for the mostpart is limited to the size of the big charger. Correct?

Remove the small charger. Peak power will be the same

now the 6.7 ford will put a cramp in the sledpulling rules! Who's going to make a new plug for the top inlet?

I hate it when people say it's unfair that ____________ (insert anything)

nobody held a gun to your head and told you not to buy the unfair thing!!!

you want factory twins? buy a Ford... you want aftermarket twins? buy them... you want nitrous? run it...

if you're too broke or too scared to compete, sit on the porch and STFU
