this give me a chubby since i'm about to pick up a 6.7 long block and build it a little and drop it into my 04.5 with a set of 03-04 90hp tips, big stick cam and a few other goodies that are already on my 5.9.

I'd be a little scared doing this in 04.5 and above. The piston design in the 6.7 is the same as the 03-04 engine but a little wider, but you can pull the pistons and put them in a lathe and open up the bowl more to resemble the 04.5 and above. The second time i built a 6.7 in my 03 i cut a 6.7 piston in half to see how wide i could go for bigger spray angle. The bowl came real close to the 04.5 in width. I'm pretty sure I still have those pistons, made 1175hp until a rod let go. I love the 6.7, didn't make anymore power on NOS but 200 more HP on diesel. The 6.7 has a better ability of spinning a larger turbo.

Next week we are pulling the 64-71-14 and my bro Erick is having the turbo built into a 66-clipped 71-14 and see what it doesn't then. Its a big truck that tows, soooooo, I can't do too much, :bang

I have a 6.7 out of a wreck here as well, "the next one" I call it.....I like the idea of siamesed-bore, leaves a nice hunk of iron between the mains and head bolts.

I'm thinking some custom ross pistons, billet rods, billet crank.
