Get the 5k's, I street drive with them everyday, and they are just fine. My 5k's are from Scheids, and I believe that is where Garrett from PDP gets them to sell.
im thinking bout getting the sdx 5x18's
Get the sac nozzles
Awsome, thats where i will be purchasing mine, either through Scheids or PDPGet the 5k's, I street drive with them everyday, and they are just fine. My 5k's are from Scheids, and I believe that is where Garrett from PDP gets them to sell.
pm sentShoot me a PM.
As far as I know, sdx doesn't do sac type nozzles
I assume that is just to be benched for a base line? If that is actaully getting into a pump and upgrading I might send mine out sooner than later.$200 to $300 plus shipping.

So whats all involved in benching a pump, im really curious? and who would be a good person/shop to send it to? awhile back i talked to ryan at RKL diesel about benching my 160 but havent heard back in awhile.
send your pump to seth at DPE as mentioned before, they are very resonable, and do good work.
Good luck with 700,and dont forget about the trans
In the testing I've done, power quickly drops off on 160 pump trucks when fuel pressure drops. None of the electric fuel lift pump setups maintain full pressure when 700 HP worth of fuel is drained from the P-pump so you need to start at 50 psi so it can drop to 40 psi without having a major impact on fueling. I picked up 83 HP in my Junker Drag Truck from increased fuel pressure so trust me, you will need good lift pump pressure to reach 700 HP on a 160 pump.
I have read others' claims that the 215 and 180 pump don't need as much fuel pressure to maintain full fueling. I personally haven't tested power decrease on 180 and 215 pumps with low fuel pressure so I can't comment one way or the other.
What's the update on your build?
as of now nothing, had the money to spend on it but some unfortunate stuff happened...house & truck got broke into so i thought it would be a good idea to help my family out by replacing what has been stolen and broke...just got a better job so hopefully soon things will pick up..sorry for dragging this on, kinda embarassing
is it possible to calibrate the pump with out taking it off the truck? as in taking the lines off and running individual lines into a there individual graduated cylinder and tweek it by turning the barrels accordingly? or is this just a poor boy idea? haha
