AC Pulley Removal

So if i have removed all the AC components, whats the point in keeping the AC pulley bolted to the block? Could I just unbolt it and unhook the wires or is there a lot more to it?

You need to buy a shorter belt and follow the non-ac serpentine belt routing on the under-hood diagram and that's about it.

Yea i got the belt on order, all the stores had the one for AC and I got the diagram but im wondering if unbolting the pulley mechanism is really that easy or if its gonna leave a hole open or something
