Airdog vs Fass

I love my FASS. You cant bet the customer support from Dan. He is the man.

Remove the pump in order to drain the T Case or remove the T Case?

There's not much room in that area on a short bed truck, so I can see it being a challenge to mount something if it's going on the inside of the frame rail. The FASS installs I've seen, the guys put it on the outside of the rail.

ROOM ?

You guys dont know what it is like to have no room. Im not complaining but I have to remove my intercooler and radiator just to change my cerp. belt or adj. my timing.

I love the 150Airdog! Ive had the Fass so much louder customer service isnt as great. Air Dog is the new in!

Starting in 2008 FASS offers a lifetime warranty on all of their new pumps. Personally, I prefer the FASS. It's been around, it's been proven, their tech support is second to none, and they work great.

Project X uses a FASS , and it has performed flawlessly . I also want to point out that Brad is a big supporter of our racing community, and he competes, Project X diesel will be going head to head with him at Maxton ECTA , and he still is there with help and advice. He is quick to opens his wallet to help budding racers. Support those that support diesel racing. That why I drink PowerAde instead of Gatorade *nx*

My FASS has been nothing but problems from day one. Looses prime going down the road, leaks fuel like crazy, makes a crap load of noise when it does have prime. Only thing good I can say about FASS is Dan's customer service is top notch.

Getting an airdog Friday! mine was a 150/180 on my 98

I don't think that you can go wrong with either one. I replaced my Fass with a Airdog because I wanted the filter unit & took advantage of the sale. The fass started getting loud & dropping pressure. I pm'd Diesel Dan about it & he has been very helpful trying to figure out the problem. I am impressed with his dedication to his product support. Thanks Dan! When I get a chance to check the things that he told me to check, I will post the outcome.

I've seen 600hp trucks running 3/8" lines and fittings with their fass and only drop 2psi. I highly doubt the extra 1/8" is gonna make a big difference.

You can call Vulcan and he can get you all the right parts needed for a 1/2" line upgrade!

I'm sure he could. But I've seen the difference between 1/2" and 3/8" and they both run the same pressure and they dyno the same and run the same 1/4 so who cares about the extra 1/8".

I would, In sled pulling you need all the fuel you can get. The 1/2" line will equal more flow which means more feet down the track...

How is sled pulling any different than drag racing or street driving? Your foot is on the floor, their is a load on the motor, fuel is getting used. They are all sucking fuel the same. Also, maybe a p-pump or a CP3 could use 1/2" line but a VP just flat out won't suck enough fuel to worry about using 1/2" line and since we are discussing vp's here this is what I'm basing my arguement off of.

Yeah VP vs. P-pump is a different story. I am with you on that one. I run a P-pump so thats why I would want 1/2" lines.

If I was running a p-pump I'd want 1/2" as well but our measly old VP's just won't pull enough fuel to drain a 3/8" line.

Ive sold more Fass systems than Airdogs and have had ZERO issues with FASS.
