Airdog vs Fass

Most of the time the 1/2" fuel line is only needed for the fuel supply hose. When your running a P7100 13mm pump or larger would a 1/2" line on the pressure side be helpful or maybe Dual CP3's of a large size. Fass Systems have many great features that the Airdog does not. The Fass can be fitted with a 12v fuel heater that works very well. The Airdog does not have the same dimension in the adjacent fuel passage to accept it. The smaller size of the Fass makes for easier installation and in better places on the truck. Fass offers larger gph in the smaller packages like the 150 and 90 frame sizes. This helps us all make bigger hp in our trucks. Brad paid attention to our need for better filtration and was one of the first to supply that to us all. Does the Airdog work? Yes! Is the Fass better? Yes! Brad does support our growing sports of Diesel Drag Racing and Sled Pulling. We should support him. Thanks

Fass 95 hpfp user for 3 years and 70kmiles with no problems yet but it is starting to get louder lately.

The AirDog is only 7" L X 3.2" W X 10" Tall. I don't think the FASS is smaller at 9”L X 4.5”W X 14.1” H. The AirDog has 2 micron Stratapore filters made by Fleetguard. The AirDog will prime without having to loosen the fuel filter. That is because it also has positive or primary air separation features. Also, the FASS air separation feature, only part of the AirDog is fully explained in the Fuel Preporator/AirDog patent 5,746,184 dated 1994, 9 years before the first FASS was ever made!

The Fuel Preporator has always been a stand alone system since the first system was sold March 15, 1993.

Also, the SuperDog 250, which is virtually the same size as the FASS 150 flows over 250 gph. We also have another unit the same size that flows 310 gph and if you want to power a 14,200 cu" in" 20 cylinder 7,000hp EMD locomotive or marine diesel we have units that can go to 1,000 gph. The AirDog and all Fuel Preporator systems are Approved for Sale and Use in California by CARB.

Thanks,
Charlie

How much ? and where is the best place to purchase an Airdog 150. There is no one around where i live to purchase much of anything.

The FASS specs you posted are the the 150 series. The 95 series is 3.5"x12.125"x8". The FASS will also prime without loosening a filter. It just makes it easier and quicker.

I dont have any on truck experience yet but My AirDog 150 came in today to supply the Monster pump:rockwoot: Its packaged nice and has good instructions!:poke:

I put one of the Airdog 150's on my mom's truck, installed easy, and works great,I just plumbed it into the stock fuel canister so as to keep the fuel heater.
Picked up a couple miles a gallon over the twin carter system I'd been fighting for years..

So with saying the FASS works better. You have tested and can prove this? Or your just saying this because you sell them? Lets see your test that proves it, cause i am very interested!

I have had a lot of complaints from my Airdog customers that they are not holding there fuel pressure like they should. They also never told there dealers that if the customer has a shortbed truck they would need an extra bracket. I have also had 3 customers that were several feet short of fuel line.

You may contact me with any problems you are having. We can get them taken care of.

I thought that I had a problem with my Airdog just yesterday. It started losing fuel pressure, pulled down to 8psi on a hard throttle. I drained the water seperator & all is great now. I've had Fass, my 2 brothers have fass & no problems. The Airdog has been great this far. I think both are great systems & can't talk bad about either one. Big thumbs up to 2 great systems!!!

I still want to see Bradys proof on how a FASS is better than an AirDog. After stating that FASS is better. He went into saying that Brad supports our growing sport, which is awesome. But does that make the PRODUCT better Brady. Lets see those comparisons you have done with a FASS against an AirDog and i'll get you mine. Cause truthfully I dont think you have any idea.

As long as the experts are here(not being sarcastic) should I go with the 100 or 150(either brand) for my rig. Plan on running much larger sticks and a bigger charger in the future. I'm thinking 150 so I'm set.

Holy dig up an old thread! In my opinion, go with the largest you can. You never know when you'll get a wild hair up your keester.
