Any new trucks gonna be at TS?

For 100k the 6.4 should of owned most any other 2.6 truck without even thinking of goin fummins...

Well i still have everything to build a 6.4 from the ground up. Im just glad i wasnt relying on it though. My stroker kit for it still hasnt came in and i just hated to bring out a truck with all the money spent on a motor not knowing its potential or even knowing if it will stay together. but im not just gonna be pulling 2.6. i plan to pull 2.8 also. With some changes in tuning and swapping the turbo i could compete in pretty much any class. As far as spending that much it all adds up. Truck,Motor,Standalone,Danco transmission,Corsa data,Intellidash, and all the Driveline work. It doesnt take long to spend that kind of money

Hmm, cool i guess, with that much in it, id be embarrassed to get anything but first unless it broke.

Sorry for my ingnorance, but what is a Danco Transmission??

I have alot of money in my new build but not sure im going to have it togather for TS. As to spending 100k on a truck you plan to pull in 2.6 is CRAZY. I would hope to get 1st at every pull i went to. Be funny if some farm boy build beats up on ya on the track. This will also come into play you can have all the power you want but if you cant apply it to the ground it worthless on having it.

You definitely painted a target on your back!

to do this to a 50k new truck is foolish! and a clutch in a auto is not leagal around here, sounds like they might as well allow custom drivelines like the mods run!

I'm not one to start shiz but if somebody wants to spend 100k on a pullin truck, no matter what size, then more power to them. Whether you think its stupid or crazy is merely your opinion and not factual. Plus no matter how much or how little you spend there's always gonna be someone bigger faster and stronger. So if a Joe Millionaire wants to spend a million bucks on a lawnmower puller I'd wish him good luck...not my money anyhow$.02

Says those that cant afford it. I say quit *****in and let those do what they like with their money$.02.

 Yup more power to him! Didnt know that a Danco transmission was legal in the 2.6 class? I am also willing to bet this guy doesnt win TS any takers?

Most likley not, but I bet its gonna be strong. Most likley some bugs to be worked out running a standalone.

I thought 100k was crazy too, until I did some adding myself. With cost of truck $40,000 plus money in actual parts $35,000(it adds up) = $75,000 not counting tow truck, trailer, and all the parts put on and either upgraded or broken(two transmissions this month). This is over 5 years(most in last 2) and got lots of parts at cost if that makes a difference.

I don't know what everybody is gettin so bent outta shape about, 90% of us on here would do the same thing if we could, I mean **** iv got over 45k in mine truck and all and it still aint half way done which a big portion of that was for the truck, I can't wait to see tylers truck run, even though now I'm gonna have the 2nd baddest cr in the scottsville, ft. Run and layflat area haha

I'm sure it will make as many 2.8 pulls as 2.6, and you can't tell me that's crazy bcuz I know of more than a couple with that much or more in 2.8

sorry,no I cant spend 100k on a puller as I have a morgage to pay-not that others dont, just think its the wrong class to dump that kinda $$ at.
and I hope to pull at scheids this year with less than a fifth of that in my new truck that should hang with it other than the stand alone perks.

If i had 100k to drop into a truck, hell yes i would do it, and it sure as hell wouldnt be a 2.6 truck, it would be a 3.0 truck, and i bet 90% of others would do the same. I guess its just the point that its an entry level class, i mean i was kicking around the idea of getting back into pulling, and didnt want to run 2.6 with a good amount of money in my truck. I was thinking about stepping up to 2.8. Isnt that the point of having smaller classes? For those who dont want to spend the money to run big classes? I mean at that point why even have classes? Just put everyone into one class, run what ya brung. On a side note, why dont you step up and run 2.8 at TS? Thats where all the heavy hitters will be, i know of a 2.8 duramax from missouri that might just put the spankins on it, and doesnt have near that in it.:poke:

I am with others tho, saying i bet this truck wont win ts either. I bet that trucks close to weight without even hanging any, Might have been better to start with a lighter truck, so it could get some out front. Should be interesting none the less. Look forward to watching it.

Mopower, I have a place in nky, your welcome to leave it thier, i can prolly even put it inside if need be, give me a shout 859-991-8337

oh yeah the 2.6 class by no means in no longer an entry level class, that is where the competition is by all means!
