Anybody done a sport conversion?

My dad has a 98' 12v sport, It is a quad cab with paint matched grill and bumper just like a lariat, no pics though I'll see If i cant get some!

That's right. Now, I don't know what year yours is but mines a '95. I think the later years didn't need the trimming but I don't know when it changed.

Same year as yours Scott.....95 reg cab dually...It should look ok with the sport conversion.All I need is the sport grill and frame.For the heck of it I called the dodge dealer today...I almost cr** on the price for the grill and the frame,they wanted $1,084.....Forget it....LMC truck sells the grill and frame for $215US....I called LMC and they are checking on shipping charges to Canada...

:doh: Grrrr.....I don't know everthing..:bang.....I guy here had a 2002 that was rolled...Had one good sport headlight, and I thought no problem,I will be half ways there by buying one..When I got there,it looks like they just ripped the headlight right out of the housing busting it all up..I thought I could just place the sport headlight in the orginal standard housing.....Right.....I was very wrong....It looks like you need the plastic housing for the sport lights...Oh well...I have a sport headlight that I can't use...live and learn..

the sport headlight has 2 bulbs as well and a SLT only has one bulb, I just went with a black once piece headlight off ebay so I didnt have to mess with wiring.

This truck was a standard SLT with a Ranch Hand/chrome grill when I got it. Grill was nasty so I got a ray plastic stocker off Ebay and painted it black. Got tired of the ranch hand so I posted up an ad and hooked up with another member to do a trade. We parked the trucks, switched every thing and he drove off about 2 hrs later. 100% bolt on deal I never cut or drilled any thing...but I did stay with a set of single bulb head lights that I already had installed. They were clear like the sport ones just single bulb. Mine was an 02 I can't remember what year his was...

Finally got the conversion done....Just need to put in the ram logo.The grill looks black in the pic but it is the two tone black and red..Now to maintain the sport bumper.....stone chips..

Also forgot to mentioned...I put in some aftermarket sport lights...The orginal single bulb lens where beyond repair..Have to build a dual bulb harness now...
