ATS vs BD.....you decide

I have one Big Daddy on my race truck.....

That's the 1st one I've ever heard of in existence.

I'm running BD's Super B Special and it seems to work fine.

Excellent write up by the way!!

What I want to know is how these twins compare on the street/dyno and spool. Are yall running extremely similar fueling setups?

No, he's running an AirDog 150, single CP3 with single feed and 90HP DDP's and Smarty Revo

I'm running a FASS 150, dual CP3's with dual feed's and 160HP DDP's Smarty TNT/R.

That's why I was saying that it really wouldn't really be fair to compare them in that aspect.

I didn't read much of the rest of your post...but why does this matter??

As to the guys asking about the 57/71 setup...seems like an AWESOME towing/small race setup to me. 726hp with water doesn't sound bad for me, and I'll bet he can tow at max weight all day long!

I've put together a 57/78 setup for a truck, and that thing flat out spools, and still rocks out on the top end. I'm loving that little 57 wheel for the spool you get, and the airflow you don;t have to give up;)

Chris

im glad to hear that. gettin ready to put an externally gated 56 over a 75 on mine. want it to be a killer on the street.

Ok, thanks for the info. It sounds like you came out ahead with the ATS twins. Since you seem to have a good bit of fuel feeding the fire how do the ATS twins keep it cool?

I have zero issues keeping them cool.

On a blast at WOT, I'll see them come up to 1200 -1250 and then they actually tapper off a bit. I can honestly say that I haven't touched 1300* with them.

When I had the DDP 90's in it, I COULDN'T get the temps over 1150. That's one of the reasons we decided to go with the 90's for the blue truck. His truck spends a lot of time with a 16K 5th wheel behind it and we wanted to make sure he had no EGT issues.

I just recently put the water injection on mine that I had laying around because I haven't needed it. I just got sick of seeing it in the shop, so I put it on. While I was testign the system, I had the EGT points that each stage activates at set way down low (700, 800, 900) and I couldn't get temps over 1000*.

Now, those temps are way to low to be efficient with the water, so that was only the test settings. Right now I have it set at 800, 1000, & 1200.
