I had a brother in law pass away 2 weeks ago of an enlarged heart at age 29. He just p pumped his 1999 dodge and invested in injectors, sb dd, and all the expensive stuff we love. Only had the truck running a month or so and never got to really try it out. Anyone in Missouri or goin through Missouri is welcome to stop by Oct. 6th in Belle Missouri for a truck pull in his memory. He left behind a wife, 6 yr old twin boys, and a daughter. The more diesel smoke the better. Thanks

Man I am sorry to hear about the loss.

I know Belle is north of Rolla but how far from Rolla are you?

I am sure I will be out classed by all the Cummins but I will try my hardest to keep that date open and drag the Stroker up there and show my support anyway I can.

Take Care....

Its only 20 minutes from rolla. I think we are just going to have an all day pull as much as you want type deal since we arent giving out prizes. Should we change this? We also have 15-20 tractors that plan to attend. MCS Diesel is going to let all the people around his place know about it and smokincummins is from the fulton area so he will inform his group. Hopefully we can have a big turn out. $25 to pull and we are having lots of beef donated. Hope to see as many of you guys as possible. Thanks

I'll keep the date open, I'll have to find out where Belle is though, it sounds familiar...

Here's the map:

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Belle...7781,-91.720734&spn=0.748066,1.2854&z=10&om=1

I'll mark it on my calender.

It's up to you on what you want to do. I know at the beginning of the year they have a dream factory pull in Sedelia, MO and they give it prize money, but because it's a benefit pull it's just "known" that most everyone donates it back. They've been doing it for years now and so it's established. With this being new you may have to lay some ground work behind the scenes. I always think it's just "cooler" for people to donate their prize money on their own... makes more of a statement. Then again, it all depends on you and what you want out of it. These type of things can grown into something all their own, do you want it to be a one time deal? Or do you see this being something you would do annually?

It is my understanding it is a pull to benefit the family left behind. Anthony can clear this up, but I believe all proceeds/donations go to the family.

Anthony, Is there a gate fee for spectators, or is it set up as free admission and please donate if you can?

I'll most likely be there, not pulling but definately there to help benefit the cause.

No wonder it sounds familiar, I have family in Owensville and Drake...:bang

Is it close to owensville? I'm still new the Mo landscape, only been here a week but I know how to get to Owensville.

From Owensville stay on Hwy 28 west and take it all the way to Belle, about 13-14 miles. Mapquest gives a good map of it.

Im from owensville. We couldnt get insurance to have it in owensville or thats where it was going to be. ALL money is going to his wife and 3 children. I believe we are going to set up classes as a bragging rights type of deal. You guys from st. louis i will be giving keith at midwest performance diesel all the info. He is goin to be doing some sponsoring of the event. Scott Starling at Rods muffler is donating a full exhaust system that we are going to raffle off. I will talk to keith tomorrow and see what he wants to do. I hope to have a big turn out. Anybody that has any suggestions feel free to pm me. Never done this before. Like to see scott and chris bring the orange crush truck up for people to check out if they arent racing that weekend... wink wink scott haha. Ill keep everything posted.

We will seperate into classes. I have talked it over with everyone. I think we will do a bragging rights type of deal only since all money is going to the family. How do you want to break up the diesel class?? 2 or 3 classes? I would say we are goin to have around 50 diesel trucks alone. Lots of people locally have all cancelled hunting trips and things. So the diesels should be a heck of a time.

Street Diesel
Modified Diesel

Should cover most everybody. You could add a Work Stock in there if you wanted. Trouble is you really won't know for sure how many classes you'll need till the day of.

That's usually the way it goes, day of will always tell the story.

You would probably get alot of guys to pull in a workmans class. Even though it is just for fun, alot of guys will not compete if they know they will get beat by 100' pulling against mod (street stock:poke: )trucks.

I would like to do it like this.... Remember ive never done this before.
Work Stock- Trucks with Stock Turbos
Super Street- Aftermarker Single Turbo Trucks
Modified- Up to Twin Turbos, Nitrous, Water Injection

How does that sound? Cause i know there are a few trucks running around here with twins. Im pretty pumped up for this. Knock on wood ill finally get to pull my truck also lol.... Trying to get ahold of some of the guys with the bigger pulling tractors and get them to come also and get info on how to break up their classes also. Figured 4x4 gas would just go steet and modified class. Let me know what you think. I think we are goin to get this goin around 4pm. How is that for everyone?

I'd change the Super Street to Street Diesel, but that's just me. I like DHRA rules and class names, keeps things to a standard.

DHRA 2007 Rules:

http://www.dhraonline.com/main/forms-pubs/dhra-rulebook-v2.7.1.pdf

Platte City also put on a big purse pull in July, here's a sample of their rules:

http://www.plattecountyfair.com/2007update/StPullRules07.pdf

Just to keep it clear, make the rules public and very, VERY specific and make sure your tech crew is clear on their enforcement. It's your pull though, you tell us what you want.

Well its going to be tough as far as checking rpms and junk like that. Im hoping everyone will be honest lol..... Cause i know of one truck around ive seen pull a couple of times that wasnt legal by any means and somehow he got to pull every weekend and win. So hopefully we dont have that. Rules will be easy.

Work Stock- Stock Turbo, Nothing over 5,000 RPMS

Street Diesel- Any Single Turbo, Nothing over 5,000 RPMS

Modified- Anything goes!!

Will that work?
