Big VP pumps

My understanding is they will still have the adjust ability (timing and fuel curve) they currently have.

Just that on the low end it will be alot more aggressive.

its a pretty safe bet to switch over to one you should have started the swap already, but some people can have them last, i have a truck with 150K and its on the origional so pump

a friend of mine went 425000 miles on one VP. the only reason he had to get rid of the truck was because someone t-boned him while he was making a hotshot run in alabama.

I feel that so vp's can last a long time if they've got enough fuel coming to them. I would really like to see one of the big pumps be reliable and driveable.

I understand keeping the hopes up, i have a Scheid HRVP with 80k and counting, it has been a great pump, I have airlocked it many times, but ever since i broke the pump wire i am getting a 0602 code and it hasn't been the same down low but it stil pulls well up top

yea been talking to kortney and craig about a job for little while now. and just started talking to brandon (murphy41) about a job.

sweet man, there is a good crew of diesels out here. hope every thing works out for ya. let me know if i can help out at all. :Cheer:

on the subject of the vp, roach just spill the beans man! i mean if II is tell YOU it cant be that big of a secret, right? j/k man.

i've been collecting parts to p-pump my truck for the day that my vp takes a dump or when i start runnin out of fuel (which i think is fast approaching) but MAYBE if this vp turns out to be as good as every one is hopin it is, i will stay with the vp.

if i were you swalldog.. id leave your silver truck a VP and use it as a tow rig/DD and build that 12v ya bought.

I dont see the point in more low end fueling a vp doesnt have a problem with that. They need to be foucsing on getting more timing out of a vp so you can make more than 250hp at 4krpm if not whats the point.

I meant on the low end as in "power levels"

Like it would behave like an so on 5x5.

If my source is correct the RPM's made a nice big jump too.

How many Vp's can flow the fuel of 13mm pump?

basically when you get to this point with a VP, you have no adjustability and it's just a higher flowing pump that you can't adjust timing, etc...

so what's they point? if you are gonna build a mod truck, p-pump it where you can fine tune it and not have a lame VP that flows some fuel, but has a set timing and is basically no longer electronic

The big II pumps are still adjustable. It is not like runnins an SO with 80 horse injsctors and turning up the fueling box, but they do make more power with the fuel turned on.
