The stack will be coming, the pipe from the turbo is 5" the old stack was 6" and just a little tighter then I want. It's a pita finding a 7" stack. We found some 8" well casing but it looked to big so were going to role some 10 or 12 gauge and make a 7" stack and powder coat it.

Why do mods run them threw the hood? I just wondered is it just ease of install or HP or what just curious? 8" pipe out of the bed would be sweet IMO it would just stary from the norm but I have no money nor no mod truck so it will probly never happen :).

Alot easier to just route the exaust the fastest way out. That was the main reason I did it on my truck also. Not sure if there is very much HP gain but mainly its just getting it out and up as fast as possible.

Not down here Scott, Attco Truck supply here in Castaic has everything one needs for stacks and exhaust pieces. I have seen as big as 8" chrome stacks from them and it is where I bought my twin 6" stacks from. They have all the reducers, elbows, Y-pipes and extensions you could think of, not that you'll need any of that stuff but.......let me know if you would like me to check their stock this weekend and I can pick you up a 7" stack if you want.....

Hey Scott, truck looks great. When is the maiden voyage and where? Mark Oct 19th in Ink. Sacramento as a pull. We spoke with the track manager at Sacramento Race Way today and we are pulling. We are in contact with Brian (MLM) and that is looking promising as well.

The buget is getting tight, I had planned on useing Carbon Fiber on the canopy but in the name of cost savings I have had to resort to Carbon Board :hehe:

Yeah tell me about it :( it will be at the paint shop probably all of April and then I will need a couple weeks so as of now it's looking like first part of May. On the other hand I don't know of any pulls yet out this way before then.
