black crow pulling truck

Was that the white 2nd Gen body with the shotgun stacks at O'Fallon this year?

It seems I'm not the only one to disagree. Either way, I know the truck runs, the tractors they have can too, its just the little things. Like 1000 rpms difference, ya know?LOL

we pull eep rules mostly theres never been 1 with a max rpm limit it just over 4500 should use a blanket around here a dodge needs rpms to be competitive what does the pump cost

Well where exactly you from? If your running EEP then I'm assuming yoru on the east coast. In that case Ladel Weaver (East Coast Diesel) or Phil and Curt Price (Antrim Diesel) could probably do just as well of a job with the pump as Hart. Ladel is spinning 6k rpms in his pullers. Its nothing knew to him and Antrim and them work hand in hand so ALOT of info is working between those to camps and they are huge with Columbus Diesel and Haisley Machine along with Enterprise Engine Performance.

im about a hour south of columbus diesel in southern ohio give me some contact info for these guys ill check em out the cds a pump is not the way to go the shaft is smaller than a p pump and the injection rate is to slow

From what i understand they have 2 different 13mm pumps. All the same except 2 different cams. One goes for $4500 and the other $3800. With everything he bout he got it for $4000. BUT... They only charge $200 on a core. So the but would be $4700. But if you have an ok pump to sell turns out not to bad. But still a bit high. Seems like you can go on and on about what illegal on that truck. But heard a few things about another truck in mid mo that may be spinning to many rpms.

really thats not to bad of a price cds is close on there 13mm pump i heard that if you take a pump to him and he does the work on it bout 3k i guess we ll wait and see supposed to ler us no after some big pull down there i wonder what ratios in that truck i know it has 2.8 when it was at the indoor in tenn last year

I think 4.10's if I recall correctly. I was talking to him about a set of tires and we had a discussion on engine. Not much done to the engine. marine pistons, I think a street cam, fire ringed, pretty much that was it. He said he ran about 4200 or so going down the track.

yeah but i still wouldnt judge harts off the blackcrow truck alone. cause like isaid when your cheaten like that it should run and whos to say that anyone else couldnt build the same pump or better. its kind of hard to compare a dhra legal pump to a pump like that one

i hear all he had was a pro mod style hitch a good motor a ag pump i dont think he runs nitrious like some of the other trucks how is he a cheater just curious heard it ran 15ft behind stacey and martin at the indoor last year and won his class

Not that story again...:bang Can you say "broke"? How do you think a truck that isn't a pro mod beats two guys like that? They put helium in the tires?LOL

oh well wasnt there just curious how the truck ran i dont pull dhra or anything else just the every weekend fair pulls etc i just wanted to see the truck run

Well dan if you believe that your nuts on the 4200 rpms. They told my buddy they run 3.55 gears and 35in tires

Oh geez the "Black crow whipped the Scheid Lightning truck" story!!! Tell me IF that would actually happen without the Scheid truck breaking. That the black crow truck is legal. I mean come on. Hes out pulling the Modified trucks but pulls street diesel in Missouri???? I dont think so!

It might have been 3.55's I really wasn't concerned about the gearing it was a side conversation. He was selling his 33" tires cause he had upgraded to 35". He did say he ran 2nd high or 4th low. So unless he had 40+ mph wheel speed I don't think he was turning much over 4500. 4200-4400 with 70 psi can be very deceiving as to the actual rpm.

dan is very correct, Van Haisleys truck is geared to run 4500 down track but it sounds like it is running 6000. the sound of an engine is not a correct guess on rpm turbos alone will sound totaly different at the same rpm, let alone a 4" stack versus a 6" stack.

I watched the video of the black crow truck running against others in his class...he defenetly had more of something under the hood than others. Instantly as he spools you can hear a shiot load of timing on that motor compared to others in his class.....defenetly not a daily driver at that. Purpose built puller
