black crow pulling truck

i got an idea of the timing they use in from a guy i know who deals with harts not as much as u would think though oh well haisley has a pro mod truck which dosent apply to the rest of us hence the drop box reverser and rockwells maybe someday though i seen on here somewhere were they told somebody a 15+ final drive ratio is good just trying to find out what everbody else was running

go to videos page 7 top left video missouri state pull bout 3 minutes in

I know what I have heard, know what I have seen, know what people have said and know what they have said. RPMS can be hard to guess, true. But, usually people with a trained ear can get close. Now I'm not saying withing 2rpm but 100-200 I have seen done quite often.

do any of you know wht running straight off the rack means!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that means unlimited rpms and full fuel no matter what. unlike an automotive gov that cuts fuel the closer you get to your gov speed.. his aguement at platte city waswhy does it matter what kinda gov it has on it. we're runnin it straight off the rack" and yes he really did say that...... you say charger size gear ratio and whatnot can make a truck sound like its turnin harder than it actually is.... but the sound of 6000 rpms is the sound of 6000 rpms. I also have no problem with 6000 rpms as long as its legal!!!!!!!!!!!! look at mmttpa rules for 2007 and tell me if they have a 4500 rpm limit!!! and their rules state that the 4500 rpms is free load not even under a load. ya know justin is a hella nice guy to talk to but so is the guy thats screwin your wife when he thinks you dont know hes doin it.

Ok so your saying for one pull it was legal. Whoopy!! How bout the 15 mid mo pulls he that that he wasnt. Dont care bout anybody elses rules. MMTTPA if he pulled in them fine. But mid mo rules he was NOT LEGAL!! What dont you get about that. NO EXCUSE!! And it doesnt matter if he is running 4500 rpms down the track. What kind of rpms you think he reaches off the start?? MORE THAN WHATS LEGAL!! CHEATER CHEATER CHEATER!! Thats all there is to it. Harts said the timing was in the 30's when we talked to them. I hear alot of excuses for the truck. Hand throttle, illegal hitch, completely stripped inside, ag gov, to many rpms. I mean how many excuses can you keep making for the guy. Hes a cheater bottom line.

This doesn't matter as the end user can change that! I watched that vid and it looks and sounds more like a Mod truck running, heck it took him 15 seconds just to get it wound up.

Its good to see I'm not the only one that has a problem with them.

has aney one else had aney experience with harts. just becous one truck they delt with isint legal they are a bad shop. what did everybody think of them befor the black crow truck.

But see most of you guys only know trucks. NYTPA, Full Pull Productions, and certain NTPA series around the east coast run some of their tractors. That is initially how I started dealing with them. Trucks are my second passion, the tractors are the main one and we had to deal with them way to many times. We pulled against them out in Columbia, MO and they had "problems" because they were pulling first. Its funny cause they made no adjustments to the tractors and came back and was right up there....
He just didn't want to run first. He never even tried to spool it up. Fiddled around with his belts for about 4 mins. Locked it, unlocked it, locked it, tapped the throttle, unlcoked it and said he had a prorblem. Came back 4 tractors later and did fine. Its the mentality of the people that our teams back here don't like along with my team. There are other examples of "cheating" but I just don't care because I already have my opinion of them. Missourihooker, Chris Blevins, Tree DR and other will tell you I don't usually hold back on my opinion either. Belle, MO was the funniest one out of all of them...

I voice my opinion mroe than enough, and also keep my mouth quite more than enough. The pumps and engine maybe worth it, legal or not, but I don't like the way Hart, their drivers, or their customers act.

what are you talking about im saying he wasnt legal ever mmttpa has a 4500 rpm limit and he some how was allowed to pull with them.. hmmm almost makes you think he might have a few buddies in the mmttpa teck crew!!! But idont know maybe his buddy was lieing about that one.

but they do do good work or not. i see where you are coming from.

They do good work, but if they got to cheat to win, what will the legal parts get ya? 5th? 6th?

I think you misunderstood what was being said. I believe he was agreeing that he is a cheater. most of the pulls in mid-mo are MMTTPA, or Show-Me correct? They both have a rpm rule. That truck is blaintly breaking it. I know for a fact he got busted once. Most of the rules I have seen for any organization local, or national say automotive style governers, no ag pumps. That truck is straight off the rack, which is worse than an ag governer, simply because at that point their isn't really a governer at all. Anyways I do agree 2tone12v for this reason, or that, he's still not playing by the rules. Why he gets away with pulling some places.....well I've got my own opinion on how hard he gets teched. And on the timing end of things I have also been around a 12v with shaved pistons, and various stages of timing in steps from 18* to 45* I say it's more than 30* by the sound of things.

Couldn't be said any better. Can't judge how a truck runs or his placing, when he isn't built closely with his competition. The way that truck is set up a 215 pump with a cut plate, and some tuning would be competitive...not to mention shimmed 5k gov springs or something to make it rev to the moon still

We have dealt with them more in tractors. That "black crow" truck is the frist truck I have had to deal with. 4 of the tractors we are against are blank checks written off to the Hart boys and it ain't anything special to see what they do.

Ya i went back through. Misunderstood. I was just throwing in the 30* timing cause someone had asked. Didnt say it was thirty, it was in the 30's. But that dont matter. Did a little to much drinkin last night. Forgot i even posted on here haha!! Happy New Year!!

In that case Ladel Weaver (East Coast Diesel) or Phil and Curt Price (Antrim Diesel) could probably do just as well of a job with the pump as Hart. Ladel is spinning 6k rpms in his pullers. Its nothing knew to him and Antrim and them work hand in hand so ALOT of info is working between those to camps and they are huge with Columbus Diesel and Haisley Machine along with Enterprise Engine Performance.

I have no clue who these people are, COUGH COUGH !!! :D
