Black truck.....

8k not 80k, I sure hope you dont really have 4, 2 thousand dollar trucks:hehe:. Yea, Ive worked my ass off during those 400-500 passes to get all the bugs worked out, whats that worth, you cant put a price on that kind of time and labor. If this next one continues to go this fast I'll be robbing parts from the truck here pretty soon, price will be determined from what parts come off....
Ryan

There not worth much more lol. :bang I got a couple 80's chevy's and my two old dodges. New trucks are over priced and you can't beat a good old truck I think.

I agree. And yes new trucks are soo overpriced. I built this truck for the same reason, I love the body style of the 73-87 short bed chevy. Yes I would really like to sell the ol' truck, I believe I have it at or below a practical price. It just cost money to do things the right way, you get what you pay for, racing is no diff. 7k

thought u turned down 7500?

now you are gonna take 7?

The guy interested at the time for 7500 was going back with a gas engine, I turned him down wanting it to stay set up with a Cummins and thinking it would sell super easy. He bought a "set up" S-10 that same week off Racingjunk.com for 9500, hind sights always 20/20. Im willing to take some less Only because Im progressing faster than I thought on the new build and need the space and cash.
Don, your quick to talk about others cluttering your threads....-your- either interested or your not.
Ryan

-you- talked about raping it and asking less

figured you removed some parts since you are now asking less than you had been offered

wanted to know what those parts were

geez

-I- am just tring to make some one a great deal on a nice very well set up drag truck. Thats it, I was holding out to assure it stayed to its roots that I built it for, today Im fabing engine plates.....so it can go back together with a Powerstroke for all I care, kick ass truck but ive moved on.

One last bump for the ol' black truck.. Sorry for the awful powerstroke comment, that -Don- joker had me on the scrap. If I was worried about the chassis in this truck I would have sold it to the first "gas" guy that made me that decant offer, plus he was wanting to put a 383 small block in it with a small roots style blower maybe a 500hp/500fpt engine. I was very open with the chassis twist in many threads and discused the repair in this one, last thing I would want to do is sell to a member and then hear back that it had issues, that wouldnt make me look good at all, hince my second or third post of saying " I wouldnt be selling the truck if it wasnt ready to go this next weekend". I dont have the time to spend on it now but Id be interested in either cutting the hundred bucks or even having my local chassis guy add some more cage tieing the main hoop into the front frame rails, this would further add future protection, though I dont think its totally ness. If you have and plan to t-brake it then yea might as well, but the extra bracing already done is enough as well, he would add those bars in the truck for me for prob. around a bill....if it made the diff. for a Cummins guy Id take it and have it done for you. Its already a 12 pt with a recent 8.5 cert., it could be a 14 or 16pt this next week if someones interested in that offer. Ryan

another bump for ya...

Always enjoyed reading about your progress with the truck.

Good luck with the sale...

Ryan, what's the black truck weight right now- no engine/trans ?

Man Jeff, I just could'nt say Ive never weighed just the rolling chassis before. Last weigh in w/o any added ballast was still just under 4k, so whats the ol' cummins and a built 400 weight?,not sure.... lets say thier 1500#, thats would leave around 2400-2500lbs. About the only thing thats there that not serving a purpose on the truck is a spray in liner, after the wheel tubs I wanted a very nice clean finished product. She's light for a full size truck for sure...weight is -free- hp, always.

Sold. And very happy to see it's staying powered by a Cummins!
Thanks to all the guys that were interested in my Pick up.
It looks like it could be faster with the new owner, lots more HP!

Good enough, its odd that you will be making almost the exact drive I made just a couple weeks ago to pick up the chassis for my new build. Hell your name is already on the door lexan:hehe:, just change the last name:hehe:. Funny how that worked out, you will have a blast in the truck and I cant wait to see how it 60's with more power -but- going from my style fluid coupling convertor to a built late modle tranny and lock up? It will be very interesting, I predict mid 9's right off the bat! You have my number just give me a ring when your on the way.

I'm glad to hear that! Good luck to both of you on your new projects!
