Building up-1st puller

I have to be honest the clay base is where I took out the D70 but most of our tracks up here in Canada are sandy based soil lots of wheel spin, I do agree though if I start adding anything more I will have to do a D80 and diffrent gears but for now in our classes and track styles the D70 will have to do. I did however put in a Detroit Locker this time not a stock setup :Cheer: hopefully this will keep me rolling for another year till I can get the 2 Dynatrac D80 front and rear with Detroits with a gear swap yet to be decided. I do thank you for the advice though as I want to stay on top of the pack and every bit of advice is appreciated :) James

Your Adrenaline will fuel to more rpm than your motor can take. It also puts in more fuel so if I were you, I'd keep the Adrenaline and save money for the other more important parts that will break!

I have yet to get a good day to go run it. sticking my STS's on soon, then going to get it aligned. and play with the adr and try to kill my clutch.

anyone have a haisley comp clutch?

also anyone have any feedback on Crowder? or Crowler? clutches? i can get a competition one from Wooster for 1400, he said its got like 42 buttons and idk the rest, but its only 1400. dual disk....

If i am wanting to watch building should i follow a certain set of rules?

I have the DHRA ones, figured if i fit their specs im probably good everywhere else?

did you have good luck with that crower?

im down to a

haisley comp, iron giant, or that crower

I had good luck with the crower you have to set it up right are you will burn it up.

Norris,
I would listen to zstrokens advice. He knows what he's talking about when it comes to hookin to sleds.
He taught me everything I know....

Justin, where have you been? You have been awful quiet this winter!
Ask Justin about the Iron Giant, he has done fairly well grabbin the hero gear.

is that crower a glide style clutch or is it a pedal style thats something to ask them if its a glide style good luck getting it setup and working right it can be done but its a little tough
also if your going to run like a crower 3 or 4 disk you sometimes have to go to a scatter proof bell to have enough room. either a lakewook or probell, and probells range from 1200 to 1800 for dodges. i was priced for a 4 disk 1800 for a probell, plus your input shaft 750 plus hydraulics which were like 350 i think so your looking at 4000$ + labor to get that crower working right
just my 2cents

Just staying busy with the kids and such.....Gimme a call sometime.

Kids will do that. Gonna pull this year?

Probably will hook locally but thats about it. Fuel is through the roof and time is always short.
I guess what will be the determining factor is if I get the truck setup the way I want it, if I don't then I won't hook it....

driveshaft loops and ladder bars---you're getting good advice so heed it well---safety is really the most important thing and then build it so you don't have to fix it after every pull----chris

haha fuels touching almost 4.50 here!

I will go ahead with the giant i rekon, since a brother is hookin me up!

just gotta get aholda my bank and up my CC limit. ordering my 12" lift for my 95 today too. there goes 5 grand...... haha

if i take it on the road and find another cummins whos wantin to run them, how big of a biatch will it be to drag him and shift that nasty dude?
