is that beer offer every day But if I come to drink beer I'm buying I still owe you for the help on my old VP truck. Never know when I my show up with a cooler full!

zach thanks for clearing that cam question up thats kinda what i was thinking as far as high egts and hurting efficiency i drove a truck with a s471 .90 a/r spooled at 2300rpms with a 6speed and 3.55s and it didnt bother me one bit to drive on the street but with a s465 spooling soon around 2100rpmswould be alot easier and a cam would make it come sooner so i think a cam would be a great investment

This thread went everywhere and back, twice!

Cams, well, we have installed many, upwards of 20 or so. Everything from 12v to CR. On all we have seen faster spooling and lower egts. Mileage numbers we don't even track. Some guys will do better, some don't, but really the driver has so much to do with it the only real way to test mileage would be a dyno.

Now, As for who has the best cam, I don't claim to know, but I will tell you we install the Maxpsool cams. Lots of em. We have done one Hamilton Big Stick that a customer supplied. Not that I have anything agains Hamilton cams, but we stick with what we know and what we know works.

So, basically, I can see where you are going with your bit about Gregs Project X tires not getting power or whatever, but from our experience of before and after we are not seeing the things you are mentioning. We are seeing improvements accross the board. So, rather than to bash Greg, lets provide some info on your product. Attempting to prove your point by slamming another manufacturer is a little weak.

Yeah but I can say one thing I bet alot of people get some cams and they suck, but their so wraped up with the Internet HYPE of, Ooo quicker spool, lower EGT's, better milage. They dont even pay attention to what the trucks actually doing. I have had things like that happen to me with Cams, trans, etc... just spent a bunch of money and you want to think it's the best thing ever but sometimes thats not the case, but their mind is programed thats what it's suppose to to so they just come on here spouting off all kinds of non sense.

Diesel Nut- That is a fair observation, I know you are seeing improvements over the stock cam, I'm not denying that. A lot of people noticed an improvement with an H2 as well. What I am talking about is our cam vs maxspool and the difference in how they get their job done. I hope to have comparison data soon so that all of the heresay can be done away with. So you have tried one of our grinds, was it a towing grind, a hot grind? What did you think? As far as sticking with what works, I applaud you for being loyal to what you feel works. If something better came along would make a change for your customers sake? Or would you stick with your old grinds.

Zach

Zach, I'll buy you a beer in Bowling Green next week. Bring me some 24 valve springs. :Cheer: Thanks Steve B.
