CEL: No RPM Gauge and..

I pulled out the Haynes manual and it gave me two ways to check the ECM and one way to check the sensor, but of course it's raining when I leave work.
 
What he said. I found it easier to unhook batteries and pull the starter. That way you can get a straighter pull and less risk of breaking it.

Oh I'll be removing the starter for sure! I'm hoping I can do the testing with it still in place though.
 
Well I changed the sensor this past Friday, but have only put a few miles on the truck. So far the CEL has not come back on, but only time will tell!
