If people are going to cheat, find a way to cheat or "bend the rules" better. That is all this is coming down to right?
There is a class like that at almost every pull, its called exhibition or rent your own sled, IF WS, 2.6,2.8, 3.0,SS and Mod isn't enough, I dont know what to tell you. I can tell you, I have never had anyone ask for a non tuner class, in 11 years of pulling, rules meetings, and officiating.
The true showroom stock guys just take their beatings in whatever class they fit into, and see what their truck can do.
What happens when the Duramax with a lift pump and a tune unhooks from the trailer it towed the 3.0 truck in on and puts 60 ft on you? It's insured, obviously streetable, and has less than $1,000 in mods? That sounds entry level to me.
Seriously not allow trucks to get trailered in? What about someone who drives a couple hours to a pull and their truck breaks? When it breaks I wanna be able to throw it on a trailer and haul it home instead of having to get a tow truck to bring it home.
Yeah, which is exactly why they should have a must drive in rule. It would keep ringers out. It would also kee the trucks local for the most part. Win win. :snoop:
I know of 2 guys that trailer their stock truck to a pull. Their puller is hooked to the trailer and drags the stocker around.
So, if they want to trailer a truck in, let it be the "just in case truck."...
Seems reasonable to me. Back in the day, Tomac hauled his emergency truck around to most of the pulls we saw him at.
05smoker people like you is whats wrong with the sport.making jokes about people and what they have. whether its a stock class or a 3.0 class. it should be treated fairly when it comes to teching. pretty much what your saying is if its not a high horsepower class then its dumb.the point of pulling is for us to have a sport where we can have fun. people like you take the fun out of it
No, the problem with the sport is people whining and b!tching on the internet that their stock or slightly modified truck that they don't want to spend the time and money building can't compete in a WS class at their local fair in front of their buddies so they want the the rules changed.
