clutch not holding

I dont know much about Kennys stuff. Just remember you usually get what you pay for. And make sure he is gonna stand behind his product like the other two companies do and will

the other two are flyweighted from what i am told which is probably not gonna be very streetable , kennys is not. however i do know whatcha mean about gettin whatcha pay for gonna hold out for right now and rebuild dual disc one more time drop a gear and turn the chips down to pull and maybe:evil: pull with my baja claws:evil

We put a SBC 3600 triple in a 2wd 06' and it is a very nice shifting clutch. As smooth as a 3600 DD, really shifted good on the street if not better.

For street manners try a SBC.

JOSH watson he is from sweetwater and keaton built bored and stroked the 12v in it and it runs 2 100mm chargers and broke tranny too

I found a playmate:evil

Im willing to bet that when yall get triple disc's the tranny's will be next on the kill list.

BTW, jessie, find my spicer input shaft.

Probably will but I will. Cross that bridge when I get there. I think when jack shut down josh I think that's when his tranny broke. Ustart playin with josh we will deffinatlly need that triple disc. Next time I might just haul mine next time I am up that way lol

a triple disk is not going to solve your problems if you are running 5th gear and only getting 4 hooks out of a dual disk

If you think $3500 is alot you obviously have not priced a good built auto

I know what a good built auto runs. At least with a built auto the whole tranny is built to hold up to the power. Not just a $3500 clutch and a stock trans. after breaking a few trannys which one is cheaper now?

Im thinking that some tires with alot more bite would make you drop a few gears and take some load off the clutch.
I GOT A SET OF BAJA CLAWS SITTIN IN THE SHOP BUT THEY SUCK ON THE STREET I HAVE A BRAND NEW SET OF BFG I NORMALLY RUN BUT I WAS 5 HRS AWAY SO DIDNT WANNA WALK HOME:bang

Dan @ Valair will most definately stand behind his products. I can vouch for that. :rockwoot:

Yeah...but J u havent broken THIS trans yet..............:poke: Tell ya what, lets go to English MT. Fri and we'll see if we can't get u started on that auto:hehe:

I am running a south bend 3850 dual disk.
My 1st one lasted for over 30 hooks to the sled before i had to replace it. So i went back with the same thing and also upgraded the turbos at the same time . After 11,000 mile of street driving over the past 9 months i decided to hook to the sled here at the fair saturday night. 1st hook on the clutch, so i get hooked, tighten the chain build my boost and out with the clutch and it never fully grabs  . I came off the line at 3500 rpm and 70psi and was off the clutch within 5ft. what do you think? time for a triple disk? or just a different clutch material? I never had this problem with my smaller turbo setup but i could leave at 30# of boost to.

here is video sorry it is so dark but you can hear me pat the fuel trying to get it hooked
YouTube - mod truck pull

I would try a HMR. There is alot of work to make a tripple work, Bellhousing spacer and driveshaft work is some cases and the kit isnt cheap and thats not including the clutch and i dont think the tripple will work well for you.

talked to the owner of valair and he said two options 1 turn the truck down or 2 run a triple disc and he said he was puttin a triple disc in as we speak gonna try it this weekend and he would have some feed backi am thinkin detune the truck for the time being till i got the money for a triple disc he said the way i run mine i would probably never get a dual disc to last.

For those who have a triple disc feed back please!

Thats BS i run a HMR comp puller double disk and make 1000++hp and have made 115 hooks at 5500 rpm's on it so a DD will hold what your making.

You act like we dont have trailers....

i dont like hinderin anyone when i go somewhere to pull istarted to haul it and i changed my mindat the last minute but it made it home just fine just coulnt play with the ricers lol
