So here’s the back story:

Last summer, I had some "engine troubles" at the Nor Cal Diesel Rally in Redding, CA. I nearly melted a cylinder at the sled pull, as I buried my pyro past 1600F. Tons of boost, tons of power, but not enough cooling.

So, that came and went, and along came the ingenious idea of doing a motor swap.

Dude....that is plain awesome. Very nice Job !

as Beavis would say:

"boiiiiiiiinnnngggg"

That is awesome!!!
Overall, how is the install?
Do things go fairly smooth and fit well or is it a royal P.I.T.A.?

Thanks for the compliments...=)

House - I'm waiting for ya!

Pete - dood, a TOTAL roya PITA. But knowing what I know now, it'd be a total walk in the park. =)

OK, I just found a Ford I like LOL LOL

Very nice looking install :rockwoot:

Very nice install. Looks factory with some typical bolt ons, just how you want it to look. Nice!!

Ben

Vedy Nice! How Much? (with best Borat voice) :hehe:

How fast it is in 1/4?

If the next one will be a cake, then step up the ante a little. Go for an IH engine, but a DT466!

HAHA....You guys are killing me!

Rich - what'd you got lined up for your Six Oh?

Billysgoat, Racingduallie, AstroSS, Superdave - wow, there's a first...an approval from the DODGE boys!!!!

As for how fast....right now, it's still slow, until I get more go fast goodies for it....like turbos, sticks, and a modd'ed CP3. plus all the electronic goodies (TST, Smarty). In the quarter...dunno, it's a Six Speed, so I don't want to destroy the tranny by speed shifting the SOB.

And how much? I don't want to add it up. it was 4.5k for the motor, plus I'd say about another 2k for the parts...I think. My wallet's still smoldering from the hole that got burned into it. :evil :kick:

smokin' binder - dood...i thought about it...that motor is NUTS...crazy long. my transmission will sit behind me in the back seat!!!

If there was a Ford to have..... that's it.:rockwoot: That REALLLY looks good! Can we have some in's and out's of how different the truck is/feels?

I'd vote that truck for "Comp" truck of the year, just because.
