Compound turbo build and other updates

Do you think there is a flow difference between the two different housings ding that they are both .83 and T4 flange?

Is there a short .91 housing available for the 68mm wheel?

I don't really know, but would guess the true t-4 size flows better.

Borg Warner #177207 says its a .91 divided housing for the 68mm wheel.

Anyone know if it is a short housing, or extended?
I would post a link to this one, but its to a non-supporting vendor.

Are they for the 68mm exhaust wheel?

Do they have a marmon or HX40 exhaust flange.

The long outlet IH housings have a 4.13" flange

This is a standard Marmon clamp on the housing, as you can see it's too large for the flange

When I googled the 179079 borg number, the pictures that showed up had long turbine housings...

Anyone have a short T4 x .91 housing for a 68mm wheel for sale?
Anyone have a short TRUE T4 x .83 housing for a 68mm wheel for sale?

PM please.

That is correct.

Weston can get you one with a short outlet if you're really nice to him, and a few others who will likely PM you if they read this thread

Here's the shorty I bought separate

I bought my T4. 83 housing through Stainless Diesel. This is the housing compared to a t4 gasket, much larger than others I have seen.

After I took a die grinder to it.

The housing me and Chris have are full T-4 if you ask me. Like he said, Weston can supply them. Weston also had mine cut to hx40 flange for me so I hope to have a better sealing surface for compounds.

Weston?
Aughhh...don't know him...got a link?

You've seen the adaptor I had made for mine to make up the difference in length from the standard wastegated T3 housing to the shorter T4 x .83? (T3 had a HX40 flange, but the new T4 x .83 had a marmon flange on it.

There is a sleeve that inserts into the .83 housing to ensure perfect alignment, and another one on the other end to line up the HX40 flange.

I have zero leaks on this setup/adaptor.

I like that sleeved fitting, where can I get my hands on one for either 4.21 Marmon or hx 40?

This one has the marmon on one end, HX40 on the other.
I had a shop make that one for me.
Let's just say I'm in the wrong line of work...

What's up with the .83 T4 housing having ports the basically size of a T3 housing? Thats the way mine is set up. Since I'm still running a T3 manifold its not as big of an issue, but if I get a Steed Speed T4 I'm going to need to fix it.

The .83 t4 with t3 ports is actually a s200 housing machined to fit a s300.

This is the other .83 T4 turbine housing that has the smaller ports, (not mine)

If you machine the ports on the .83 T4 is it comparable to the flow of a true T4 housing, or would it be better to get something like a .91 T4 divided?
