Custom HTT Pro Street Turbo

It wouldn't have gotten to this point if you would have communicated with the buyer and worked out something.

The charger is not as advertised, I would hope you refund the mans money.

ok, where shall I start... you don't want this to turn into mudslinging, but it started with...

Specs are 71mm inducer/74mm exducer, HX-40 style Down Pipe. When I wrote HTT to get details on the turbo the sent me back this....

which it clearly is not.

I have never had a tech offical plug it, but Ive been running 2.8 at my few pulls. I have pulled apart the compressor and measured it a 2.8

As I started pulling, it was pluged a few times, and ever time I was told it was too big and they would try and bump me up to the bigger classes.

let's break that number down according to HTT's model specs

First number:

1 for 65mm turbine wheel
2 for 71mm (Killer) turbine wheel

Second number:

2 for 12cm2 (available in Ductile Iron only)
3 for 13cm2 (available in Stainless Steel only)
4 for 14cm2 (available in Ductile Iron only)
6 for 16cm2 (available in Stainless Steel only)

Third and fourth:

57 for 57mm Compressor Cover
62 for 62mm Compressor Cover
64 for 64mm Compressor Cover
66 for 66mm Compressor Cover

Fifth number:

2 for 2nd generation compressor cover
3 for 3rd generation compressor cover

Sixth number:

5 is a non clipped turbine wheel
6 is a clipped turbine wheel
Seventh number: 7 is a HX 40 4” turbine outlet style
9 is a 4⅜” turbine outlet (will clamp up with power elbow on 3rd)
F is a full marmon flange

Now with that being said, if you gave that exact number to anyone at HTT, they can tell you exactly what that turbo is. That is the same system we use for ordering turbos.

So lets just leave this matter to me and Smknram and NO ONE ELSE! Thank You!

Nobody else would even have any input here if you did the right thing and worked this out. What's steps have you taken to try to make this right? I know you feel that you gut screwed by the person that sold it to you, but that is between you and them if they did in fact mislead you.

I for one would like to see this worked out quickly....

not hardly. Cause since this is a public forum where you can and may enter another transaction with more than just this buyer, I think we all have the right to know whether or not you will stand behind what you sell. As it stands, the last I heard you will not communicate neither by phone or PM with the buyer.

ill buy it but not for $1500 i was looking for a custom s3 to put ontop of a ht3b but i may consider this i dont no to much about this turbo so if there is anyone out there that dont thank thats a good ideal please tell me so i dont end up with it and dont no what to do with it

and that just furthers my point, you heard, not you know! He has never tried to call me by phone and we have spoke in PM's.

I was the last to contact him, and he has responded to what Ihave said in at least a month. How about you let him and I handle this.

If smknram posts here and verifies y'all are in contact and working out a solution I'll close this thread to further posts....untill then it rides.

pull the housing and measure the wheel, looks like someone knows how to zero the caliper in with it open a few mm

There's no guess work there or smoke and mirrors. According to the model number that thing is nothing more than a pro street 66. Call HTT and give them the model number and see what they tell you.

First off, Timebomb and lmills DO know that you have not tried to make anything right. In fact, I just spoke with Timebomb Tuesday night.

And to the Admins, Jeff has not contacted me since a week or 2 before he posted his long thread on here about how everyone should leave him alone and stay out of it, so it has been over a month probably since i have heard anything from him. And i have yet to get any type of plan from him on how he would like to handle it. All i have got is him telling me he has no money to give back to me and that "he really doesnt have to do anything".

And for anyone that thinks that i did not zero the caliper properly, I can personally take the turbo to Mid Atlantic Diesel next week and let Lloyd measure it and post on here if thats what it takes. Since Lloyd is a HTT dealer he should know what he is talking about.

Thanks,
Brandon

And i just looked back in my PM's and 2-2-09 was the last time jeff has been in contact with me, so it hasnt quite been a month yet

you were saying???

Wow... somebody kill this thread already. Honestly, leaving it open any longer isn't doing anything but stirring the pot. His reputation as a seller is already down the drain. The point has been made, let them deal with it now.

Kill the thread it's not helping anyone out. Jeff is a stand up guy and hes in a tight spot right now. He pulled in the 2.8 class so its a honest mistake and I know that he will do what he can to make it right. Just mght not happen right away. Kill the thread him and the buyer can work it out.

as I stated before pull the cover, measure the wheel and take a pic then, it could be a 71mm wheel with a 66mm cover..

House if that were the case the model number would be different. If they bring it to me to measure, I will do just that.

the previous owner could have changed cover,
I remember Jeff calling me asking how to measure the wheel when he first got it, and I told him how, but he used a tape measure to do it and no Mic, maybe he cant read a tape measure correctly!
