DDP's Magic Delivery Valves

ya thats alot of gain...did you change anything other then your dv's? i just went down from full cuts to 191's then now i have 181's in, and honestly its not much different other then less smoke and egts... i mean its slower but not that much, barley even noticable and its street manners are 100 times better...the turbo lit faster with the full cuts tho.

changed nothing between those passes except for the dv's...

5x.014 injectors, hx40/s475 twins

and yes, I was quite pleased with the results...

it hazes/smokes quite a bit more now on the street with the full cuts, which is a downside.... however is still manageable to drive relatively clean...

damm. thats crazy gains.. ya with twins you probably can, my truck has a heavy haze all the time... at the track its dark the whole time..lol

Large air, more fuel, makes sense! They may not be large twins but still a 75mm compressor can push some air or atleast i'd think! Cool deal man!

the ddp delivery valves look like an .024 with a flat spot milled in the shoulder. the shoulder is not the full diameter of the delivery valve.

I was under the impression that .024's are supposed to be more HP than .022's?

But, it seems it should be the other way around? Wouldnt .022's be more HP than .024's because they have less material on them?

Eric

I was just trying to get some pics of the DDP valves with a 181 in the pic also.
Pics came out to fuzzy.
Sorry

Weston,
On the DDP valves it says 927 with 024 under it.
Do you know what the 927 number is for?
The 181 says 052, with 181 under it.

My new truck :

1996 extended cab 4x4 cummins with:

JL machine 5x.016 Injectors with all the mods

JL Machine full cut delivery valves (said to be more than full cuts?)

JL machine full machined out holders

S362/s475 twin turbos from Stainless Diesel performance.

The truck smokes like a freight train, and hazes good at part throttle.

Wow I wish my DV testing thread had this many responses. Guess no one cares about dyno results of testing DV's.... LOL

Thanks, just went over to check that thread! Looks like it was posted while I was away on vacation.

I'd be interested in 191s vs. 022s. Oh wait, I'll be trying that here soon so I'll report back. No dyno results only maybe some track runs but it will be hard to tell the differences they've offered given i've changed up other things as well.

Its tough to pinpoint what did what when you change multiple things at once. Kinda why I wanted to do the DV testing back to back on the dyno.

You got it, but I may bet to make some runs with the 191s and then the 022s, we'll see how everything works out.

i have the magic valves and full cuts from ddp i maid within 2 hp more and about 20ftlb with the full cuts but the killed mpg on the street i just but the magic valves back in and the biggest diffrence i have is i can clear up the magics i wish there was a step from these to full cuts it seems to be a big jump between the 2

what charger(s)?

b1 bomer i putting the silver bullet on tomarrow then i try the laser cuts again

Well, I bit the bullet and bought a set of DDP's delivery valves.

The overall width of the shoulder & flutes is 8.01mm.
The thickness of the shoulder is 0.76mm.
The pintle on the shoulder is 2.98mm long.
The total width of the shoulder at the pintle is 7.74mm so that means the pintle is 0.27mm deep.

It might be a month before I get these installed. Still trying to get the 95' Junker Drag truck totally reliable and drip free in stock form so I can drive it safely to the smog test station and the DMV for vin inspection all prior to registration.

Here are some pictures of the DV's. They have 927 & 024 marked right on the DV.
