Shoot, if you got over 700 with the VP, tapless and running the ADR, you should never complain about Quad again. HE MIGHT have just broken a record with that ADR box.
 
With 770 #2 only, he ought to be able to hit 850 fuel only with the Quad hooked up. Lets all pitch in for a tight NOZ system and spray his truck to 1400 HP and break every record out there. Then he could have the top HP, fastest 1/4mile, and best street driven MOD sled puller on CumminsForum......

Oh wait, they probably kicked him off of CumminsForum... because his Lol LOL bad @$$ Lol LOL totally hecka tight Cummings was too kewl for CumminsForum.

You should have tried a little harder. If you did not gain power with the adrenaline, you had something wrong. I was very impressed with the power it made all the way to 4100, with free rev up to 4250. There were some other issues that need addressed on the 4k box, but they are working that out. I know alot of people are giving up, but I am glad to see a company dedicating time to it.

As for the Smarty on a performance VP truck - they have been promising things for the VP crowd for years and have not came through with it.
 
I am gonna call BS on you dude. All of your previous threads never mentioned you ever running a quad, you ran a bluechip/smarty/ez and others but no quad. the biggest injector you have run is 7x16. So you have NOT run bigger injectors than me either.

I am VERY sorry that I did not mention all the things I have done on my pickup before I joined this board, I did not realize that I could comment based on only the things I've done since joining CompD.

I tried a lot of different injectors and decided that the 7x 0.016 were the biggest that would still atomize correctly for me, every rig is different so maybe you're having better luck than I.

and yes I was running a quad for a while, at the time it was referred to as a hotbox, I've come to realize it was pre-release testing for the ADR, but I cant draw on that experience either because I never got on here and told everyone right?

in the future I'll be sure to start a thread about everything I've ever done with or near a diesel so that you can have a warm fuzzy when you see me post something.

on a side note, what is the orifice size of a 270HP six hole injector? I never put much stock by claimed HP on injectors so all I really watched was the number of holes and size

you do have one thing i cant argue about and thats the p pump. no tunes required and as much rpm as you motor can handle.
 
yeah, once I started pushing it hard I started having issues, ECM failures, VP and HRVP failures. so on so forth, I just got tired of the empty promises of awesome tunability (smarty) and all the little issues. so far I'm loving the P7100 after I finally got a good one.


on a side note, does the taco guy still have his little stand outside the base gate there in temecula? I spent a mint there back in the day.
 
base is is fallbrook but no, now that they have guards everywhere, the taco guy was viewed as a seasoned meat terrorist and sent to guantanimo bay detention facility
