i found a good dealon a ranger with the perkins motor can they be easily played with like the 12v dodges? are they a reliable engine with alittle bit of extra power?
 
I think it's a Mitsubishi actually, and it should be turbocharged
85 h.p. or something
It's gotta have a fuel screw someplace.:hehe:

I think it might be a 1.9L turbo. That is what they put in the escorts and such.
 
I can't help you with that one. Maybe snap some pics when you go look at it.
 
Give a call to Nate at Unlimited Diesel Performance. He had one a few years ago. He sold it to a guy in NY, when it left it had twins. From what I remember of it, it was a pretty good truck. The shop number is 740-569-1319. Nate and Ben are both really nice guys.
 
well the guy that put the truck up for sale wont answer a fone call but there is a nissan diesel for sale any body know about those?
 
the ranger has a 2.3 mitsibishi turbo, the earlier ones had a 2.0 or a 2.2 cant remember but they were a perkins design mazda produced motor, the perkins/mazda was the better of the two motors from what i hear, due to timing chain on them opposed to belt on the mitsubishi, the escort was a mazda diesel they were good, as for the nissan/datsun they should be great little trucks as long as its not rusty because they rot bad and the frames snap, as for the pump it should be a nippon denso or a zexel most likely inline i will look into them a bit more and let you know what i find
 
ok i just bought it its a daustin truck the motor says nissan diesel sd22 it has ab inline pump looks like its direct injected but it also has what looks like a throtle bodieon the intake. but its super cool

Hell yeah man! that would be a fun run around truck is it a 4x4?
 
Right on man! I would still be happy with driving that around have you figured out the pump yet?
 
nope its still in the guys yard he has alot of old cars and i have to go over saturday and help him move them around to get it out looks kinda like a mini p pump though
