Dockboy makes 878 on #2 only.

Greg,
I have been waiting to see how it would run when you got it all together but never expected this . Sorry to hear about it I know you have put allot of time and money into it.
Congrats on the great numbers, get it put back together I look forward to seeing what it will do on the track!!

Thanks Bruce!!

I'm looking forward to the track also!!

OH! And nice numbers Greg, sorry to hear about the bottom end issues, good luck with the new build!
You are getting as bad as me, breaking parts that don't usually break.. :poke:

Scheids takes a stock Cummins rod and has them shot peened.

I will be running similar rods this year, the roller motor may get a set of Diamond-locks, we'll see.

Is there anywere around that I could send a set of rods to and have this done, then add the better bolts? I'll be building two different motors in the near future. What is the deal with diamond locks.

Garrett I'm with you on breaking odd stuff! Greg, I broke a cam on the dyno at 600 hp, how many people have done that?

Jim

If you send a set up here I could have them done. Most machine shops offer it though.

the proof is in the puddin! lmills and i got to see that puddin in action at reedsville, wv 2 yrs ago and it was absolutely unreal especially in person!! that truck screams. chris, that truck is a true piece of art.

Hey Greg, im interested to see one of the broken rods and where it failed at. I still cant get over the fact that it broke at a rather moderate #, being they have made much more my guess would be what you posted before, the issue was allready present before you dynoed.

Wow, Greg sorry to hear, nice numbers too.

I am sorry but Kai's reaction in the video had me ROTFLMAO.

First I had the controller for the 2nd CP3 crap the bed which caused the top CP3 to run wide open and 25k psi rail pressure at idle!!

Do you think CP3 controller failures will be the exception rather than the norm? Other than performance I was also sold on the dual CP3 concept because of having to run 2 CP3 at 1/2 capacity rather than a modded CP3 at 140%.

Just when I finally got through all the TST electronic glitches... I'm hoping that I don't have to go through anymore!!!

Do you know if PPE make all the controllers for the dual CP3 kits and then sell them to the various manufacturers? Or does each manufacturer make their own with their own "tweaks" on them?

I was told I had the only controller that had ever failed. I guess that is par for the course for me!!:hehe:

I know for a fact that PPE does not make the Relentless controllers.

I do know that if you forget to put a fuse in the controller mine will idle with 17k psi! If anyone wants to know what that sounds like throw a handful of gravel in the head and dump raw fuel in your exhaust.

Greg, nice numbers, it sucks about the engine, but you will have it together shortly. I can't wait to see how it turns out this time.

Thanks.

It will be interesting because it was definitly hurt and still did what it did. Kai reminded me on the phone the other night that I had mentioned I thought it had a knock in it after I had fixed the hung injector. :bang We will see what it will do on all 6 cylinders and the proper tuning:evil

Any ETA on it hitting the road again Greg ?

It will be at least a couple months Rich. Got to gather parts (my life story!!:hehe: ), but more importantly, spend some quality time with my wife!!! She has been a garage widow for the last 6 mos., so I owe some time to her! I'm probably going to shoot for late May, early June
