Drag comp stacked with smarty

So if I can almost get the duals to lite up now, the smarty should give me that low end grunt to rip em up, correct?

Now, do I want to spend $650 to spend money on tires.... :D

I have seen a common reaction to the smarty NOT stacking well with 5 and 6 speed trucks (drag Comp Stack), I also see no advantage on the dyno, the stack produces NO top end power.

I do Run the smarty stacked daily, the truck spools so much better. I think it comes down to each individual set up and truck condition. I highly recommend you try one if you own a VP truck, I did not say you have to run out and buy one.... but it might work very well with your truck.

We buy and sell used ones regularly

I lost 30 hp with the smarty on the dyno, but on the street it feels like I have 100 more hp.

I've always thought that the smarty works well for the six speed for a number of reasons. The 3400 rpms are nice when rowing through all those short gears. The rate limiter is eliminated with the smarty so the low gears seem to creep w/o smarty while with it I can blast through them. Mildly modded trucks seem to make the best dyno gains with the smarty while stacking with a drag comp usually results in a power loss due to the power coming in at a lower rpm.

Well it only makes sense if you have more power down low, you can get the truck to pull harder through the gear from the start, and should pull more g's, which is what most of us call the SOTP dyno system...

Smarty does much better on a butt dyno than a dynojet, More power down low feels great on the street.

I think the Smarty makes the power come on sooner, wider power band. I'l give up a few ponies for a wider power band.

Exactly, and its a good investment, you can expect to get close to what you bought it for, out of it.
