I was wondering if anyone has tried out the new Adrenaline and what they think of it compared to the Edge drag. Would it be worth givin up the edge for.

There's no guaranty on power when switching boxes, especially trading one competition box for another. You can only get so much out of a vp44 =\ You might gain 10 hp, you might lose 10. I think adrenaline will be competitive with the drag comp and it adds a lot of tunes and features.

Looking at your sig I think that money needs to go to the turbo fund anyhow.:ft:

there is no comparison. i have been testing the adrenaline for the last couple months but have switched back to the drag comp for the last couple weeks while my adrenaline is in for hardware changes. i miss it real bad. the crazy amount of tunes out and crazy adjustability is great but even just the standard adrenaline vs. drag comp is a big difference, the adrenaline is so much more fun to drive and is way smoother. i could go on all day about this

Yeah I am savin up for a 64/14/? from HTT or II, I have a friend who might buy my Edge and I was just wanting to know what the difference is in the two. everyone around me runs the edge drag, I thought I would try something new or different. What is the difference in the standard and the race one in your sig LOTERO.

The Adrenaline is in a league of its own. I've had both & the Adrenaline is way smoother & more fun to drive than my old Drag comp/Smarty stack. The new Aggressive tunes are awesome, waiting on quad to release the comp files.

what i mean by standard is the normal 10 setting adrenaline, there are alot of other options to choose from on quadzillas website www.quadzillapower.com and there are aggressive files. check them out there is alot to look at and as 724 was saying the fun stuff is coming soon

Naw, he's good to go. That box has EGT limiting! :st::doh:

The only thing that I see that would be a problem is the new gauges, I aready have mech. boost, fue, EGT gauges. Other than that I would maybe try it out.

Actually thats a good point. The egt limiter in the quad or j/a might help people run overfueled trucks without egt problems,....... but the truck will still need more air to make more power :shake:

i am considering the adrenaline also but can i still utilize my pillar guages??
I've been thinking of this too.
The pyrometer wire can be tapped for the adrenaline pyro. If the adrenaline reads boost from the map, then a mechanical boost gauge could still be used. FP can be hooked up many different ways.

I had a problem with a juice w/ Attitude before I bought my comp box w/ mech gauges. Because the juice was reading the boost through the map sensor it was constantly kickin off the engine light, even after a new sensor. So I bought the comp and have not one problem since. It would be nice if they come out with a comp adrenaline w/out the digital gauges.

lotero...what did u do with ur pillar guages...assuming u had them before?

i still have them, in order to be an accurate beta tester i like to compare readings. the adrenaline commander will be coming out soon and as soon as i am comfortable with the digital readings i will probably get rid of them.

getting rid of the pillar guages or digital??

Personally I'd get rid of the digital. I had digital gauges once upon a time and senders kept crapping out on me. I know quad's don't use senders other than his FP but I still don't trust them.

My question is did it make you go any faster in the 1/4 mile ???? Thanks Steve B.

Any back to back dyno comparisons?

Sorry if i missed this, didn't take the time to read the whole thread.

In the very near future I'd say YES, without a doubt. There's several downloads already available for the Adrenaline and it only takes a couple minutes to change tunes. The lower power range seems to be very Smarty/Drag stack comparable, but with lower smoke and slightly more bottom end. :rockwoot: There is still one issue I'm experiancing but I'm sure it'll get fixed eventually.

Do you not get the bad stumble when you loose traction or start to back out of the throttle once you go WOT? Or do you not get the stumbe if you free rev in P? What size are your injectors? This is my only complaint and to this date and the only reason the "Drag" is still in the truck and not up for sale. I can loose traction very easy and when the stmbling begins it's so violent I have to back out of it. I can't have that at the track. :bang

Not anything with these new tunes, but back in Oct I dynod the two back to back with a Beta tune, not really a far comparison IMHO. I Left the Drag hooked up after I left the facility if that answers your question. If I went back today with tune that's on the Adrenaline now, it could very well be a different story. As soon as the weather gets better I'll get it back on. :pop:
