"drag" comp vs. Adrenaline

Come on J, you know that it just happened to break . It was the shafts time to die and just so happened that you loaded a different tune prior to, although it would be nice to think that it had more power.
Dude, I honestly think it was the comp tune. The lowend fueling is unreal & aggressive is a understatement. It happened right when my turbo lit. There were no signs of problems prior to this run. I may be wrong here, but I honestly think it was this tune, it is way more aggressive than my ole Drag/Smarty was. Call me crazy! I'm gonna get some pics posted up tomorrow after the tranny is out. Someone needs to explain to me how to shrink the images to fit on this site, I can't figure it out.

If there was any kind of crack or flaw in that shaft, then the comp tune killed what was left. It might have lived with a drag/smarty, but the comp tune might have been aggressive enough. If it surges bad that puts alot of stress on stuff, like when you start hopping at a sled pull.

I agree, could have been anything that caused it. I pulled the tranny out this morning & to my surprise it wasn't the input shaft after all. It was third gear had teeth that broke off completely. I have pics, but to dumb to post them here.

Anytime you need a pic posted you can either try following one of the how to threads or just e-mail them to one of us funny colored username guys, we'll be glad to help.

Quad

Does the Quad add timing, if so is there a custom tune that you can get rid of it? Also are they bringing out an option without the digital gauges. Sorry if this has been covered but I am a little out of the loop

Yes it adds timing and I'm sure that quad could make a program to get rid of it.

Quad has said before that he will have those kinds of programs released. It would be nice to have, but I'm not sure that there is a box or programmer that would give you better timing than the Adrenaline itself.

Here is a pic of the Adrenaline control pod, it can display only the power level or you could hit the button all the way to the right & see EGT, Boost, Oil temperature, or fuel pressure. Hope this helps some of you guys with the confusion.
