"drag" comp vs. Adrenaline

I talked to one the techs at Quadzilla today and found out that you can still run run yur mech gauges with the adernaline. So I am maybe gonna try it out, but I would like to see some back to back dyno runs for comparison. I don't have any dynos local.

Quad just released the first comp tune to the beta testers, fuels past 4000rpm!!!!!

im getting rid of the mechanicals. i dynoed the original tune with the adrenaline vs. the drag comp and they were within a HP of each other. i ran them at the track and they were within a tenth. BUT that was with the original tune, if this new comp tune is anything like quad says it is it should dyno pretty different, i will be dynoing soon and the track opens in a month. another BUT is that the whole power band is better with the adrenaline, the max fueling was just the same. if i left the line with 0 boost the adrenaline would smoke the drag comp.

I'll let you know how the comp tune is tomorrow, It is too icy to test it tonight. It will be warmer tomorrow. From what quad is saying, I am a little worried about trying this one, guess I'll have to watch the tach. I don't have aftermarket springs yet.

The comp tune broke my input shaft!!!! I am gonna have to change it out this weekend. It runs good, lots of power, but stumbles after a hard run & has some shuttering on higher levels. It definately has more kick than my old Drag comp which never broke my input shaft. LOL

No, I have the stock 1 1/4", wish I would have done the update when I did my tranny. I will now. I just thought that the big pullers were the only ones breaking shafts & 1/8" isn't much bigger. I learned the hard way as with everything else.:bang

I own a excavating business & have a 99 Dodge quad 318/ 5 speed that I can drive, company vehicle. I usually ride with my brother in his 04.5 CTD lately since we are working the same jobsite. I can use that truck or my other brother's 98.5 CTD anytime I need them. My wife has a 03 Jeep Liberty sitting here if I should need it. I look at it like this, if I am gonna play, I am gonna pay. It is only money & we only live once.

Come on J, you know that it just happened to break . It was the shafts time to die and just so happened that you loaded a different tune prior to, although it would be nice to think that it had more power.
